[TuT] How to make Exceptions on your AntiVirus
Hey fellow e*pvpers,
I believe this is something most advanced users already know, but since some new members have been having problems regarding the download and execution of some programs/hacks/tools I decided to make a small tutorial on How to make an Exception on your Antivirus.
Before downloading ANY hack, if you have an annoying Antivirus (AV) as AVG or NORTON, you'll notice they have an active tool called Resident shield, and as such, everytime you try to download or run an Hack or Injector packed with Themida, per example, the AV will automatically delete/quarantine the file(s). This is what you should do to avoid that:
Important: Please note that like this NONE of the downloaded files from elitepvpers will be scanned before you open them. DO NOT download a file from someone you don't trust! No matter how tempting it is. Check it with a website like [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] or [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Note: Click the spoiler Tags under each Antivirus Name.

Tools > Advanced Settings > Web Shield > Web Protection > Exclude Host/IP/domain > [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] or [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
- Make an av exception for your future/current Hack/Injector Folder:
Tools > Advanced Settings > Resident Shield > Exceptions > Add Path
[AVG Free Antivirus]
Same procedure as for Internet security, Except the Webshield, which is inexistent in this version. |

Settings > Exclusions > Configure > Scan Exclusions > Add > Include Subfolders
Settings > Exclusions > Configure > Auto-Protect Exclusions > Add > Include Subfolders.
Ps.: Didn't find a way to exclude a domain, and since I don't have Norton I can't search myself. If someone knows, please post the way here, Thanks. |

Left-click the Avast icon on the tray bar. A window will open.
On your left side you should be able to see Avast installed providers…if not, just click where it says ‘Details… >>‘.
When you can finally see the providers, select the ‘Web Shield‘ provider and click ‘Customize‘, ‘Exceptions‘, and in the ‘1. URLs to exclude:‘ box, press ‘Add…‘. After that, just write the URL you want to add as an exception. If you want all the ’sub-folders’ under that address to be also considered an exception you should add an ‘*‘ to the end of the URL…like this:
- Make an av exception for your future/current Hack/Injector Folder:
For the Standard Shield provider (on-access scanning): Left click the avast! 'a-ball' icon in the system tray, choose ’Standard shield’ – use the ’Customize’ button - Advanced tab - and click on the Add button...
For the other providers (on-demand scanning): Right click the avast! 'a-ball' icon in the system tray, click ’Program Settings’. Go to the Exclusions tab and click on the Add button...
