NFS World Bodykits from NFS MW 2005: can it be done?
 

Hey guys i have a question. Can the bodykits from NFS MW or NFS Carbon be transfered to World? I just love Vic's Supra Bodykit, so was wondering if i can do that?

You can't. The bodykits belongs to a certain car , and the Supra is a mix of the Shift1, NFSC and NFSMW meshes. However it only contains one kit from NFSC and the other parts are from NFS Shift.

You'll need to reconvert the whole car to be able to use the bodykit.

but can we edit models from NFS World??

Using a hex editor and given a documentation, it's possible... (Provided, you might have to learn the compression algorithm, and gain an wide appreciation for LZ77 / 78 / LZMA / LZSS / etc.)

But using tools for reading/writing MW/Carbon meshes out of the box won't work, cause the format optimization changes over time.

add-on: Also before swapping bodykits, it's more... fair to add new bodykits, instead of overwriting some that you don't like...

add-on2: Also, before you go bit shi[s]f[/s]ting... good luck trying to port a mesh, setting a custom price, correcting global body/hood/wheel/etc offsets, remapping any textures, etc.
