Can someone explain to me how to use this mod?? (Explain to me like I have autism)

This is what I did so far in order:

1. Unrared the files to my desktop.
2. Path for config.ini is correct.
3. Launched launcher.bat as administrator installed the mods.
4. did the rolling for cvars and scripts and everything exactly as the read me said to.

Not working whatsoever??

Do I touch the packer or something? When do I install the mods??

Wasted 2 hours, fcked up my game had to re-install and in the end I got nowhere.

Does anyone have issues finding black pearls, looked for a couple hours now and can't find a single one. Any suggestions where to look / max render distance for pearls?

At PTS 2.0, mod not working. After patching we got some errors and still connecting to the server.

Can you please paste the config.ini here? You need also run the packer as admin, try removing it off the launcher. You need not worry about unrolling anything right now. You install the mods just outright ( 1 - 3 - 5 ) then leave them. It should not fuckup your game unless your constantly rerolling everything over an over.

I've not updated anything for 2.0, will not do so until it comes to live incase anything is subject to change on the update which will take me either a day or so to do so please be patient when 2.0 comes live an I'll update everything as I go.

He posted it a while back, if I remember correct it removes all the vegetation from the world to make the game run smoother on systems with low specs.

Yup that's exactly what it does. Removes non-interact-able trees, bushes, plants, etc.

It is mainly used to spot out wild growths (such as Clubhead Fungus) without having to see all the random plants that are useless.

Quick question regarding the updated OP, does anyone know what the new mod added is? What he put as "WaterBender". Not sure what that is.

Yes my apologies for not updating the readme, I've been trying to prepare everything for the 2.0 & gameguard and then was relentless digging into memory with archeage an realizing they've still the server-sided flags on teleport hacking & going over a certain speed threshold which results in an automatic ban. Good thing I test things before I release it eh? ;)


The mod will not be updated and I cannot guarntee in full but atleast in partial, until sunday/monday ( I need time to sort the files, see what gets caught if gg goes live, update everything, update the readme, test everything, ect ). This is not just a minor update and is rather huge in size and I've done some things from the PTS but again those could be subject to change PTS > Live versions so nothing is set in stone to carry over from what I've done there. I will post part-by-part on the update as I go with the readme being the last thing to be updated and will keep everyone informed.

The majority of everything from discussing with people is fine in working, gameguard is the same as hackshield in terms of the files and there is no autodetection system in place to ban or flag anyone ( heavly tested some things on russian version ).

So be patient, hang out, enjoy the 2.0 content an the mod til servers go down and relax and know I'll have as much as possible of the mod running asap for everyone :)

First of all, as far as I know, this mod isn't a product "for sale." You donate to receive access to it, that's it. It's very easy to setup if you just follow the instructions closely and browse this thread. Donating doesn't necessarily come with personal hand holding.

I'm sure he is extremely busy at the moment with 2.0. Quite frankly, unless you need it desperately right this very moment, it's better to wait until he posts a fresh update working with the 2.0 patch.

I'd help if I could, but my install of the mod worked on the first try. I'd recommend to either be patient for a proper reply, or take the time to search the older pages on this thread thoroughly for a possible solution.

He just keeps and telling me to read the read.me, which isn't helping whatsoever. How do you even install it?

The read.me just says to open the launcher.bat and install the mods??

You sir are not the brightest crayon in the box... Or you don't know how to read English which is a possibility. But all of these sections in the readme thoroughly explain what you need to do and what 90% of the files in the mod do. Let me list them for you and then you can do a ctrl+f and find them in the readme and read them.

How to run the features: This tells you how to run the launcher which will install the mod.

Troubleshooting: Tells you how to change the path of archeage and make sure it's pointing to the right directory.

How to install / Bypass cvars: This is self explanatory and tells you when to roll the cvars.

Rolling the scripts / Bypassing the disconnect: This is also self explanatory and tells you when to roll the scripts.


EVERYTHING AFTER THIS tells you what each file in his mod does and if you wanted to edit it how to edit it. This is not a simple plug and play mod that you can install and go with, you actually have to time things and install/uninstall things at certain times so the game doesn't pick it up. If this is too difficult for you, we appreciate you supporting this amazing developer, but we can only help you so far. So take some time, read the WHOLE README, don't just skim it and you'll understand what needs to be done. Hope this helps, I'm taking my spoon back.

This would mean you have the incorrect path for the game_pak file. Go into the config file and correct it

There is internal checking now, without gameguard or hackshield - but the same methods work for getting around everything.

So far everything but the hud / chat / distance display are done. Some files have been removed as they are detected and not able to be work-arounded.

I have tested the chest & black pearl ( thank you for the guy on the PTS to not harvest it an leave it for me to test with ) and both are functioning fine.


Since some of the files could be subject to change I will release this tomorrow but I will need feedback asap if anything is broken. I've checked everything from auction house to else wise and so far everything is functional 100% other then what is not updated.

Chat timestamps may, however, be obsolete due to the changes in how chat functions now ( still looking at it ). I will say the vegetation file is caught and with that xml file I've tried a few things to work-around it, most are just too tedious to do or its just caught by the checking system so that will be tossed.

A full changelog/update will be posted as soon as I'm done on it. But rest assured so far, so good with the mod and most of what I have done has been done blind without testing anything in game up until a few ago. The essentials will still be fine that are most desirable while some things that were there after hackshield was removed will be removed aswell.


I put in work so if you've not got the mod yet, its even more great working in 2.0 and I would highly grab it from me pre-2.0 while you can :cool:

I'm going to see if I can assist with getting you some more screenshots for the things you don't have yet. The readme is definitely out of date but I know that is last in the long line of things you need to accomplish. It's awesome to hear that your progress has been pretty much a success though! I'll keep brainstorming to see if there is anything else that could make this mod even better but it's starting to get hard to think of things that aren't "essential". Lol

Nothing new at this time, just updating/fixing. Need to sit down an sort all the files an see what else I can toss into the mod and what is broken an needs to be fixed and everything else.

  • Sounds updated but untested ( please let me know ).
  • Readme will get a complete overhaul on sunday ( Small break to relax from all the updating ).
  • Tip removal, removed - old script method to bypass again so will not bother.
  • Loot rolling updated but untested - please let me know.
  • Removed unfinished .lua file in auction folder.
  • Adjusted refresh button in auctionhouse to align with new UI of it.
  • All other script files updated for 2.0 with exclusion below.
  • Chat timestamps has changed and is no longer working, removed ( this cannot be fixed ).

The old method for cvar/scripts ( even though gameguard is not on at this time ) is in effect, there is local detection on the client but the same method of getting around works fine so seek the readme for that. The base install for the mod is fine - just run 1 as usual.

Will update main post here in full sunday as with the readme aswell. Any problems/issues please post them here so I can troubleshoot/fix anything that may be not working or not functioning as intended.


This will be able to be ran right out of the box for 2.0 ( I'm 99% sure ) so enjoy everything in 2.0 and have a good saturday til I update more on sunday an get a bit of time to game in 2.0 myself :)

Have to bypass now, everything is localized in terms of what was catching - same methodology though :)

Well I will say congrats to some of the people who got the land placement script done that asked me how-to in messages and where enjoying auto-placing land without the prompts ( granted still was a delay between placing, it made land instantly get grabbed rather then having to click a confirm box ) and congrats to trion on 'monitoring' all of the hacking/moding that went into place with it aswell - oh wait they didnt and then they're servers crashed cause they run dinkey servers that can't handle player load and then people blame it on xl when this all falls on trion for the servers.

You need to update to the latest mod, you need to run the old bypassing method for cvars & for the scripts.

I'm on now testing everything and everything is working fine so far with some minor hiccups.

Read the readme an know you got a free pass before this update an now there is localized detection for the files. The base mod works fine, scripts/cvars need what is said in the readme.

It doesn't quite work for me. I roll the CVars correctly, but when I get to character screen, it either disconnects me or if I ever get to press on my character, I get a black screen.

Im having trouble rolling the scripts, I understand the process however archeage's loading screen is quicker than the amount of time it takes for the launcher to "roll script".

Yeah I'm now just automatically gettting disconnected when i get to character selection, when did you update the mod? maybe I downloaded an old version or something.

Edit: Seems even without the mod im getting disconnected. Will do a full reinstall, probably soemthing from the old mod fucking shit up.
