It was removed, it was something that was causing a packet error at times after vigorous testing.

I am currently using the old mod where you only do "Option 1" before launch and then "Option 4" during intro movie

It's the same thing, just different numbers, shouldn't be any difference.


Will be putting the fish/pack back into the mod later with some minor adjustments to the other files. I'm not quite sure the friend finder will work anymore because it is a 50/50 and the packet error will trigger. Granted it has been on my spare client for awhile working on my other it did - perhaps just passing error in the lua>server an it throwing it.

Yes, decent distance increase.


Changelog:
  • Re-added fish/trade packs.
  • Fixed mistake in view dist.cfg, renders much further now.
  • Re-added some other dist increases.
  • Tweaked cvars for better dist handling.
  • Few tweaks/tests to the ocean to avoid some cryengine issues with shaders.
  • 0.7 version of the repacker.

Working on the sky update now, just testing some things with it, also tests people are doing on boats and removal of the rain effects @ abyssal.

fish, trade packs distance doesnt increased, checked so many times with mod and without. trees yes but trade packs no. also when i get to distance to see them they appeard with better graphic without the mod. keep up the good work!

Thank you, this helps, we're trying to figure out cause if none else has noticed chests @ sunkens seem to render later aswell as opposed to before when they would render alot sooner.

Hi 7life,

To begin i've been a fisher since beta and found mutliple ways of fishing more then 10-16 fisher per spot depending on how fast the fishes bite :p.

discovered 2 ways in total wich were by total accident. so first 1 was when i was delivering packs to freedich in a hurry for some reason while i was putting a pack into my hauler i accidentally unsummoned the hauler at the same time wich made the hauler disappear with my pack but then the pack later fell down on the ground. The same principle works also for the fishing boat when the boat is empty and your trying to put in the first fish just unsummon the boat while the animation is busy putting in the fish. The ship will desummon and leave the fish on the water for you to pick up like a trade pack. so you can resummone the boat and continue fishing with the fish in the water and keep doing this.

the 2nd way was a mistery for me and my friends for a while cause we tend to steal fishing boats for easy money but for some reason with a certain few people when we stole their boats the boat didn't desummon after 5 minutes but different everytime sometimes 1 minutes sometimes within a minutes sometimes 2 and so on. So later while we were fishing with friends again a friend got disconnected from the game with his fishing boat still open with fish in it. but when he tried to reconnect he got the duplicate log in error. but when he said he got the error at the same time his ship despawned. it hadn't been 5 minutes since he disconnected so we figured it must be the duplicate log in wich makes your ship desummon even when u have packs and fished in it.
So now we just fish fill our ships up and leave account open on pc while we disconnect ourselves from a different location ( other pc/ virtual machine). and then all the fish fall on the water but down side is if u lose the mark of the spot some way finding the fish back is hard and time consuming but with the mod it was easy to find the fish cause if u got close enough u could see them from a really far distance.

@ nendai , you need to reinstall and re-download the mod, that is an old installation and out-of-date.

@ IAMOMEGA, I don't see why they're would be FPS lag with a boat scroll? I've toned down the rendering a bit on the far-distance, though, in this latest update.

@ bkpiazza, if it was the last email, responded :)


Changelog:
  • Reduced the far-distance rendering for terrain.
  • Removed the prefab files, they are not needed anymore.
  • Changed the object distance, you should notice now chests/packs rendering sooner, tested myself & can see the difference ( not sure about fish spawns ).
  • Slight AH update to test timers above 9:59:59s but still seems semi-bugged, please let me know ( this seems to be an AA issue on internal OS timer display changes, looking more into it ).
  • Slight change to the day/night cycle.
  • Launcher now detects invalid options.

heya just tested the fish in the water the fish disappears after 110m wich i think is the standard distance. the regular packs (tradepacks larders) i can see from really far though tested these up to 300 meters and was still able to see them. and also tested sunken treasures wich work perfect now you can see them from on your boat.

So.. I wanted to try AA again and installed the mod again..

I have no clue how to get Zoom working and such, the exit now and AH works and such but I can't get the zoom/etc to work (Tried like 5 different combinations and re-read the README file like 10 times x.x I'm usually not bad at following instructions)

yeah I gave up trying to do all that new stuff

I just use a previous version with less features for one-step

4 options

1 > launch game > 4 at movie > done (can switch characters without reloading mod)

Would someone be kind enough to confirm I am doing this correctly. Once the mod has been installed using 1. Then each time i start the game I do option 4 at TRION splash screen. Option 3 once the character select fades to black. And then option 4 again once I am actually in game.

This is for a setup where I am not using the underwater hacks.

I appreciate it!

The mod is not working. It used to work pre 1.7

I have the latest version. I tried many combination of entering the numbers on the launcher, all don't do shit.

I have the correct path edit in the launcher too.

Please help. Give me a specific set of instructions to enter or something

yeah the instructions in the readme aren't really clear either i figured out the correct way to use all the functions is as following.

1st time install 1 to install the basics of the mod.

before starting the game 5, during the start at the trion video 6.

right after character selection when the screen fades into black 3
and when in game 4
. haven't had any dc'd or anything this way and everything works fine like that.

Yeah I tried exactly that. Nothing happens tho, none of the mods get activated

Ploxasarus I was just wondering if you are able to do a different launcher for us that could already roll the stuff by itself... Is kind annoying to roll the stuff, like cvars... Or atleast find a way to keep the cvars without the need to roll every time we login... I'm not sure if you can do it but would be awesome..

ok i encountered a small problem in the distance thingy. when u first enter the game witht he mod it works fine as long as you don't go thru a portal or get another loading screen cause as soon as you do that you won't be able to see packs frm far anymore.

To those whom are having issues over the read me, I'll be updating it soon to be more explanatory. Fixing current issues and handling influxes of requests is the main priority at the moment :)

Some people need to run it as admin, others need to unhide the packer - I'll be updating the read me with a very more in depth tutorial for all cases as best I can, rest assured it will be more user friendly.

I could try to whip something up in autuoit but really I was transfering everything from the packer & batch into C# since I've additional people working on this with me now an have more time to do so. It will of course take some time but I've gotten alot better handle on some cryengine things now and how I could do certain things.


Some requested things that I'm myself working on:
  • Removing mini map zone display that pops up.
  • Fixing fish spawns
  • Fixing friend finder
  • Removing confirm on reset skills/skill inputs
  • Highlighting packs without material files
  • Changing sky materials through shaders & removing use of lighting file for day/night cycle.
  • Transfering everything to C#
  • Removing rain at abyssal.

This is not what it says to do in the readme, ugh im confused. Readme says 1 to install. 4 before cutscene finishes.

Then under bypassing the disconnect it says 3 after character select fades to black and then 4 once in game...

can someone please clarify?
