I would disagree with the paywall comment though. All of the items you've stated can be purchased from other players. It's what helps builds a healthy economy overall and also provides value to the money you spend on the server which I'm sure you would appreciate?

I don't understand the part where you're stating I can't make my own decisions? I don't see a problem with cooperating with your community to try and build something good. You're right though, the ones with the loudest mouths are the ones getting more done because they're the ones getting involved. I'm really not understanding your point with this.

You've lurked around this entire thread responding to only the negative sides. I get it, we're the new kids on the block and we need to earn our stripes but it's just poor to be slating us because our approach has been different.

Not every server needs to be super easy and what we're building is for longevity and for the players playing to have pride in their accounts and not just be a 1, 2, 3 and done server.

I hope you respect that.

It's important for you all to understand we're building something good here. We've started from the grounds up because it's what needs to be done in order to push on to better unique content. We've no intention to rip off Bash's Trophy idea and label ourselves custom and we're certainly not intending on making a server that's too easy. You will see as time goes on the capabilities our team has and we're working closely with our community building a great server. We've been around only 8 weeks and the amount of improvements the server has had applied to it is amazing.

Our approach may not be agreed with many but we don't want the lower end of the game to be insignificant and if you want to play on a server where your efforts will be recognized then this is the server for you.

Don't let other people make your mind up for you. In the end we're here and it's time to get over it and just focus on your own. We're not sat trying to sabotage the other servers so I expect the same respect please. It's getting really boring.

That's the theory but not the reality. You should take a look at the Bazaar. No one sells Cardholders, NosMerchant Medals and other very important stuff. Almost no one is selling his/her coins so if you want to sell a SP you are forced to spend irl money to get Zen Coins.

Playing the Server would bring the reality closer to you.
There are 5-10 people EVERYDAY selling Zen.

I don't know about what reality you are talking, but it's a fact that the Bazaar is empty. Right now there are only 3 NosMerchant Medals for sell, 5 empty Card Holders and not even a single Magic Lamp or Wedding Box.
I guess it should be much more filled up if there were really 5-10 sellers everyday, right?

It's also a fact that the staff team admitted that the current situation is not optimal and they are thinking about a system to obtain important items like card holders ingame. Screenshot of the suggestion:

Hi guys, i'm playing this server almost from Start and i want to give a real and honest review to you.
I want to mention that whatever i am writing is just my opinion and i hope no one will feel offended by that.
Why i am writing this review right now and not earlier? I feel this Server right now at a balanced and good state, so i felt that it is the right time to leave a review for everyone accessable to read.

So let's start.

Firstly, i want to start with the staff, behind the DynZen Nostale Server.

They are listen to the community, if u want to suggest anything, they are always willing to hear you, same for feedback or any other similar things.
Especially Frost is working hard on his Server, this guy must look like Gaara because he probably don't have enough sleep for weeks already.
The 4 new hired GS are testing very well stuff before patch coming out, to make sure that no one will abuse something.
3 of them, "Blush", "CarlosC" and "Silent Draw" are also really active on discord to solve any problems or questions u got.

The bottom line is that the staff overall is really good.

Community:
Except from some PVP competition with kind of toxicness on discord, the whole community is helpful and nicely to each other. There are also enough fams who are willing to invite you.

F2P vs. P2W:
Since Frost and his team changed really a lot, (thank's for everyone who helped to made this Server to this state) u will feel that u are not in any way forced to spend real money for this Server.
U can obtain at late game, by farming, 30-50kk per hour (act 6.2). As example, 1 Amu for betting Hero eq is worth 5kk at NPC.
If u want to reach or get something quicker, u will have to spend Money, like for weekly pity boxes.
With a new patch, u also get from Erenia, Zenas & Fernon (Fernon 9h per week) "Prophet's Arcane Relic". With that item u can obtain (for different values) nice stuff:

NosMerchant Medal (7 Days)
Golden Specialist Card Holder
Pet Bead
Fairy Bead
Mount Bead
Specialist Partner Card Holder
Partner Bead
Partner Skill Ticket (Single)
Perfume
Point Initialisation Potion

by that saying, if u need something specific or special, u can even buy ~ 2.300 Zen Coins, (calculated at 15k per Zen Coin) by just farming 1 Hour in act 6.2. Calculated in real $, it's worth of 6$ in total.
Everything from Zen Shop is tradeable, even the Pity weekly boxes u can buy from players who selling Zen at the Bazar.

So, this Server is definitively Free to Play. If u want to get something quicker, feel free to donate and support the Server and their team.


Gameplay itself:

Since newest updates and patches, week over weeks, the gameplay feel very smooth from beginning to the end game content. U obtain from level 15, 30, 45, 55, 65, 73, 85, 90 at a NPC called Eri free equipment r5+7, they are costum made and got some nice passive. Also u will obtain at level 30 a free Pet called Boxer, which got also some nice buffs. (all ress 55% and a defensive otter effect, just lower) which can support you easily to c25 and even c50. Since u can buy Buff devices (to avoid tons of multi chars, or abusing raid's, ic's etc.) u will have no struggle anymore to do anything u want from start on.
Other thing's that might help you from start:

Act 1 mount, to assist you to go from point a to b

45 Res s0 at NPC, to assist u for different situations.

30% limited fairy's (up to 50%) at NPC, that assist you for lvling without doing quest's.

with that changes, u can even level from 1 to 90 without any quest easily now if u wish. U are not forced to do Quest's anymore. (After patch 1.09)


If u doing Quest's, u will be highly rewarded because u will reach level 85 now and gain Lockets after every ts in act 1, around ~65 of them in total after finishing act 1 quest's. Each one can assist you a lot with following items:

Fairy Booster x1 ~ x2
Ancelloan's Blessing x1 ~ x2
Tarot Card (The Devil)
Tarot Card (The Star)
Tarot Card (The Sun)

As u can see from facts, you got really a lot of help to reach higher content.

The raidboxes for all 5.2/6.1/6.2 raidboxes got slightly improved, higher chances to gain EQ and less useless stuff. (4-5 EQ as average from fernon every 50 boxes, with a test of 1k boxes in total).

IC rewards got improved by a lot. U can obtain 42 full moons and 50 Feather's and much more, from lv.80+ ic which especially help newbies to upgrade sp's or selling them for gold or assist you on the journey.

EQ and Classes itself are very balanced overall from every class, also the Sp's since DynZen got even the Balance patch from official nostale as non emu server. This doesn't mean its perfect, but very well made for now.

There are much and much more changes i missed for sure, on a good way. But this isn't a overwiev of all content from Server. There is much more stuff waiting for you now and in future. The Server overall is really top1 and if u want to enjoy nostale, with high official vibes, u should try DynZen Nostale out.

Frost today announced that act 7 will come november.
In the meantime we will get summer event (11.08) and the intended release of Act 3.2, Martial Artist and new custom equipment slot "Soul Stones" which is to be released 25.08.

so that's a really good time to start out!
