well tried buying gold online today. UFOgold.com is a scam. they transact through paypal yet require you to email them a copy of your drivers license or passport. promptly got my refund. tried mabinogigold.com as well. same story. beginning to wonder if they're the same company. Told both their representatives in chat that their companies can **** themselves before I give up my ID when everything they need is available through their paypal account. Didn't get my gold or my money back on mabinogigold.com. Promptly filed a dispute with paypal explaining the story. Hope these ******** get shut down by paypal. Surprised more people don't come forward about these scammers.
update:
finally got a hold of someone helpful over there. all is well, will get my money back in the next day or two.
on the plus side, been selling dyes and potions last two days, plus some gachapon items. racked up over 4 million gold in the last two days setting up a personal shop with a brownie watching the shop while I dungeon, gather herbs, make potions and stock the shop remotely on the run as I gather and make items to sell in addition to selling dyes and gachapon items. If this keeps up, i'll max out the bank limits in little over a week. on the other hand, looks like the market is getting saturated with dyes and holy waters. prices starting to spiral a little in dyes, a lot in holy waters and potions. hopefully not soon though, gonna need about 15 to 20 million for that raccoon cub suit and abysmal pot to help me level my windmill skills.
Uhh, once you show them ID, you get your gold, and you don't have to show it ever again. its for fraud security and such.
If they're transacting through paypal, they don't require any additional information. All the contact information they need is available on Paypal when they log on and check the transaction. I send them a photo ID, and potentially, I am toast. With the info from a paypal, and my photo ID, they can do a LOT of potential damage. Let's put it this way, if photo ID was really necessary, then why don't we see this happening on Ebay, which is almost exclusively transacted through paypal? Or on a gazillion other websites that do business through paypal, all without "verifying" ID? If they're worried that some kid copped their daddy's account, they can verify by calling. All the necessary information is available to them through Paypal.
mmodo.com works fine. The first transaction they actually call you to verify your info from the site. Just ask if they have gold first. I used them 3 times and have guildys who have used them a few times also. Sometimes slow on delivery but not a scam.

interesting, my comp picked it up as a scamming, phishing, malware/adware site
i personaly dont trust that if i was to spend money i would go nx and buy dye ampules then sell those on a alt account or something. alot of people do it. even if you dont have another computer. log out and login your alt account and sell your items. just remember to mail them first.

i just use the same account to buy dye amps to sell in game. What's the point of using an alternate account? The only thing i can think of would be to have the inventory space for dropped items while dungeoning.
