[Request] Ego Feeding Bot
I've looked around and searched a few forums, but I haven't found anything as of yet. Does anyone know of any ego feeding bots? Theoretically, it should be possible, but I don't have the programming knowledge to create it myself, and simple macros/AHK/etc. won't cut it.
I'm specifically, looking for something that will not only feed an ego, but
A)know to only feed it when it's unhappy for maximum gain,
B)know what to buy, from whom, and where they are
C)know when to run to the bank to restock on gold (which also consists of knowing where the bank is, how much to withdraw, and how to get back to the NPC its supposed to be camping for the items to feed the ego)
Egos have been out long enough and are such a pain to level up that someone must have created something like this by now.

They have, they just don't want to release it. If what you say is true about your low programming knowledge to create one, you should research up some Autoit it doesn't take much to do those things and very minimum knowledge is needed with imagesearch.

I looked into Autoit a little bit but I didn't see anything promising. If there's nothing good publicly available I guess I'll just go look at that again and see if I can think of some way to use it to make something like what I have in mind, though I'm almost certain it'd take some actual programming to make something intelligent enough to run on its own until it runs out of gold to feed with.
Oh well, thanks anyway.

Go through the progress of manually feeding it yourself, and it is easy to figure it out your own.
I will give you a hint:
Do it step by step. From the point of detecting, buying, feeding it, and then waiting.
You don't need the super programing skills to create one like modding dlls or anything. Just knowing how your botting commands work, and some logic.

-kicks starving ego-
why the hell havnt i thought of tht??? :O
stupid stupid stupid DX ill put it on my list... i have a bot silencer and a couple .dll edits that im working on. ill post it when im done with it... if i actually get to it XD i might post the bot silencer 2...
so people have done the feeding one huh? just autoit3 right? with image search in there obviously :P someone whos a member of those underground formies give me a blueprint of his one, and does it buy 2? and what do you think about merging a metalurgy bot with a auto feeder on the gems? :3 i think ima do tht just add a lil string that says sometin like...
if gem
open ego chat
click feed
click gem
end
youd also have to have no equipt in your inv. or youd have to add a scrolling thingeh huh? :/ or eliminate image search on the "click gem" and put it "click first slot" now this might be taking priority XD

You're not going to get what you want from autoit or ahk. You would need to have a bot that hooked into the client.

Ill partially retract my statement, you might be able to get something, but you clearly don't know very much about what you're doing or you'd understand that its no small undertaking and incredibly difficult with autoit or ahk. The stuff I see posted here is like a -10 and a script like this would be a 20 on difficulty in comparison. GL when your bot ends up somewhere you weren't expecting.

this is a public fourm, and yes it would be a HUGE undertaking for a small reward been-done script... but im not in any undergrounds so watcha ganna do :/

I've done the process manually enough to have an ego 2h with 30ish str and 22 soc, and an ego bow with 28 str and 20 soc. The problem is getting this far has taken long enough, and I don't know enough about programming to get anything hooked into the client to read in the current mood and gold/gold in bank. The feeding and shopping parts could potentially be easily macroed, but in order for it to actually be intelligent enough to function overnight or just afk, it'd have to know exactly where it is, which NPC it needs to talk to, what it needs to do with that NPC, whether it has enough gold, etc etc. That's the reason I didn't just jump right into attempting anything on my own, since, for one, I don't want to reinvent the wheel if it's been done, and for two, it's a major pain in the ass, especially if you want to make it general and not just buying a single specific item from a single specific NPC to grow one stat of one gender of one weapon. Ideally, it'd have some kind of menu or options to choose what stat you want it to grow and which city you want to do it in, and it'll know from there which NPC sells the most efficient item for that stat.
Of course, this is all in my head, as I would like it to work were I able to create it.

The problem with that is that gems aren't the most efficient way to feed an ego. If you don't have 3-4cm or greater gems, then you're better off just feeding 5x of an item worth as close to 1k as possible, but not 1k or over, each. For me, for strength at least, it's usually sickles for my male sword and underwear for my female bow.
And also, you can't just have it feed on a wait timer since the time between feedings doesn't seem to be any one set time. It'd have to be able to check and make sure it's not still "fine" when it tries to feed in order for the bot to maintain stat-to-gold feeding efficiency. So it wouldn't be as simple as just making it feed it, since it'll have to say, click "repair" or "feed" without feeding to see the current state, then if it's not "fine" or "happy", proceed to feed.
It doesn't seem too terribly difficult in theory, for someone with enough programming experience, but it's not something I could do with limited Java experience and not much else.

If you can code in java there's no reason you cant script in autoit but that's going to depend on you. Imagesearching for everything is great, it has its place and its limitations. It's one thing to use use imagesearch to find the words of items and such on screen and click on them, its another all together to script movement from one location to another especially when you start talking about going into different buildings and even different cities to get into this over the top automation to feed an ego weapon.

You would need map way points, npc markers, gold mark checks etc... seems like a bit too much work for a simple Auto Bot.

How's your ego losing happiness while you're farming ore? Plus what you quoted and responded with makes no sense since you're talking about different things.

Auto pet feeding bot?
06/20/2008 - Rohan - 3 Replies
I bought the brave dragon pet on Rohan item mall and its very useful mostly to botters coz it attacks (fixed damage depending on your level) not only that it adds 10% to your weight (means you can carry lil bit more of the stuff your bot loots).
Problem is I want to levelup my pet along with my character. I got my "Auto feed pet" option checked yet it doesnt feed it. When my pet gets hungry and screams, the bot automatically un-summons the pet.
Does this option really work? A Lv.3 Brave...
