Has anyone tried to send a packet saying your using a page on a book? Like page 1 or 2 of Ice Spear.. I know your thinking it wont work because each item has a Item Code.. however your not really using a item to update the book a Item is destroyed and the book updates itself... So maybe we could bypass the removal of the item.. and just make the book update its self..?

Say test it send the packet for one page.. then somehow figure out what info needs to be changed.. and then just resend the packet but instead of it telling the server to update the Book for Page one Make it do page two instead.?

Just an idea and I cant afford to test it for Ice Spear

you would have to use that packet only was you have it. So unless you have the page its kinda useless

Interesting idea, but it would require people working together... if people saved their character codes that they collected from the owl event, then you could get past the changing character part of it, however, I tried to packet edit with eating turkeys, and discovered that every turkey had its own unique code, and you had to have the specified code of the turkey in your inventory in order to eat it...
So, basically, it may be possible, but its probably not going to be a packet edit...

Code varies from character to character, account to account, Item to Item.

This idea, as brilliant as it is, can't work.

You wouldnt be duping any item as there would be no item you would just be updating your Book sort of like the Owl event..

Send the packet saying you fed the owl.. Send the packet telling the book to update its self.

But if it isnt possable back to the drawing board on other things..

the problem is, you can't send a packet saying you added a page to the book

1) you need the actual page for the server to say "o yea thats true" and then takes le page away

2) some of the pages are enchants

3) i'm sure theres a 3...cant think of it now

escape bombs are items, hidden away somewhere

no item visable, yet usable? it's hidden somewhere in your invy methinks, like all the way in the bottom right of what could be a 100x100 field
