What about the event Ice bowls? They seem to disallow skills from being used..

If you leave GM Hide on, they cannot get your character's item IDs, thus, cannot blackrobe you.

But they can still teleport you, as you only need someone's Char ID for that.

With that said, you have to physically be able to see the person to do this correct? So homestead can be a safe haven?

To blackrobe, yes. But there are more ways to get someone's Char ID other than just exchanging.

The black robing happens because they remove the chars head, and the character can't load without its head or hair because it's part of the process when you log in. You're fine until the char logs out, then you can't get back in.
