Yeah,cracking rar could take years,many many years.
Although,it is said that cracking with GPU's multi-core-processing is much faster, in this method, 6 letters password only takes few minutes. It's just a time problem to publish the GPU-process driver. But 7 letters,could take 10years+.

But..... I'd like to wait for the patch's author PM me the password.
Even I cannot get it,I won't crack it,
because it showed the respect to author's work,at least.

Assuming this is another release from the Japanese, I would much rather search for the src than risk ePvP.

And this is with a 3570k processor.

Each character added increases the potential combinations exponentially each time, the only thing that would speed this up is if we had hundreds of people doing it, or at least a Quad Opteron 64-core system working on this. This is where having a ****-tons of cores helps.

so how to recover:
1. go to security mode find C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming and delete the protect exe
2. use registry editor(eg. Windows CE registry editor) find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options, delete Image File Execution Options totally. now your exe are back
