no... you need to do coop vs ai to make 15-30.

you can get 1-15 without doing coop like doing normal refs..

Note I said with XP Boost maybe in the past you didn't use XP boost thats why you got that values..

I got a few questions about AMD FX processors.

1. Is AMD FX-8350 (w/0 OC or it's required?) able to keep 24 VMs stable?
2.

Is any of these procs able to run with 24 vms on it? And how would it look with 18?
Are all these procs same a s 8350 - just non-clocked as high as 8350 is?

3. How about amd FX 6100/6300 (6x3.5 / 6x 4.0)? Are they able to run 18 VMs?

4. Does anyone know smth about performance of FX-9xxx series?

5. Is it true that for 24 VMs 24 GB of ram is enough if we use intel proc but if it's AMD it's better to buy 32 GB?

I consider buying machine for refs and I'm looking for the best spec (among i5/i7 / AMD FX/ Intel Xeon).

1) Yes 24 vms is maximum

2) The 8320 yes maybe the other too but i don't know

3) me told somebody at skype he test it but it don't worked.

4)no

5)If u have a Intel u can try it with 512 Mb or 7XX mb but with AMD 32 Gb.

I could not tell much about AMD just had 1 CPU, and don't use it anymore for long time. Only have XEON and I7 in different versions.

But the top I've seen an 8 Core CPU running was 30 games. In theory real core > logical core for multithreading what makes many people report that AMD it's better on this case for

Intel i7 4cores/8threads vs AMD 8cores/8threads

Many will discuss that AMD it's better and cheaper, but I didn't had good experience with it and I have also other major concerns like Power Consume and Heating what makes to opt by Intel always (even the performance for singlethread).

Ofc when running 30 games simultaneous you should not load all them at the sametime if you do probably you run into some bugsplats (ofc you can rejoin after) by CPU timeout but while all 30 games are ingame the CPU usage it's not so bad like 98-100%

i have 2 builds with the same specifications aside mobo and cpu
the one is i7 4770k and the other fx 8350

i can tell that intel is far superior than amd...
amd is struggling to run 18 vms when intel does not break a sweat running stable 24 vms.

that was also my experience in the past but maybe other people know a trick for the vmware that could make it work better

But yes onfly the Intel will perform better than the AMD.

i7 4770K is only better than the i7 4770 if you plan on overclocking or have extra money.

have 1 with 4770k it has about the same power as the fx8350 from amd cause of hyperthreading.
i will go with the 4930k for my new systems
this cpu is just beast and easy to overclock 30 VMS no problem with some tweaking i think i can even manage 36.
would not buy AMD anymore fx8350 gets so hot and uses so much power. the power it wasted i would be able to buy a good intel for that difference systems are now running for approc 8 months i have a electric meter in front of all systems and after about 5,5 months intel got cost effective .

I think anyone would go with that if they could afford, haha. 4930K is twice the price of a 4770K, not too sure if it's worth the investment.
