In my opinion you will have to prove that you really suit for this position. I'd recommend you to go on helping and reporting actively, as I doubt you can score with your current abilities as well as you want to. Try to gain more experience and increase your influence in that section in some ways.

a yes from me too, he only makes helpfull posts, following the rules of epvp and I never saw him spamming, swearing etc

Also he doesn't begg for thanks , and he doesn't spamm , only helps.
He has what he needs to be a moderator , a good one.
