How their fake/scam site works is you believe it's real and you type in your username, email address and password. Most people keep these the same across games and websites so they would then now know your username for Hero Online, your password and your email account so they could get access to a LOT of information.
Tested using an anonymous no-registration email address, fake username and fake password under a proxied IP.
