South Korea Imposes Midnight Ban on Online Gaming

Sometimes we take for granted the fact that we live in a free society that lets us game and play just as late as we want to in our free time. Those are great freedoms and luxuries we can enjoy, unlike our friends in Korea, who recently had a midnight curfew imposed on them for online gaming by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the hopes of curving youthful game addiction. How does this work? At the strike of midnight, players will be forced out of their online gaming sessions. But that's not all. They have also implemented a "Slowdown" procedure that will choke down the Internet connection if players stay on for long periods of time. This will affect a number of online games such as Maple Story, Mabinogi, and a slew of other online games.

This is the beginning downfall of South Korea's online gaming. We should be glad that we dont live in korea since their laws are so strict.

Darn How bout Players From other country's that play games from Korean Servers [me play elsword korea] ... Darn it!

Just Checked the site and They are gonna slow the speed of Dragons Nest!!!!!! ARGHHHH I've been having a hard time connecting to that server and then they are gonna sabotage it!

may this will work on korea for 2 months untill NcSoft will start Mass-Hacking Korean Governments we will see son on tv something like : Korean Culture Minister has been assasinated yesterday or something..that governments of korea are doing now can do a high damage on korean peoples morality that mean officials will die :|slowdown korea, slow down new korean games

Wow that sucks for them, I feel pretty sorry for all of them and all those effected and involved in any of it, well besides the people in their gov that came up with it. I mean I understand the reason why they're doing it but still no freedom at all.

Why do you guys pity them?
I'm a korean
Don't think they did that just cuz they felt like it.
I see people posting
"thank *** i live in ____"
or
"__>asian goverment"
They have the highest death ratio for gaming
They have continuous deaths because people are addicted to games
Yes i feel it's ok to pity them
But this was done because of these fellow koreans' deaths.
And if you hear some of these stories
some of them will be IRONIC
like this one
this young couple's baby died of hunger
why?
Cuz they were too busy in the PC room playing on their "avatars" that were taking care of the ONLINE baby instead of taking care of their own baby at home
I'm not saying that we should stop gaming
I love gaming(my parents hate me for it QQ)
(pst give me some hacks for s4 )
