Calling the function with good params can do the job, yes. But its very offtopic and not source related, so Im not sure if that answer fits 'too' well.

I kind of find that misleading, you dont learn how to create the shellcode from it, you dont learn how a VMT hook works from it, also it doesnt even involve the basic funcions for virtualprotect/writemem or anything.

Its just another way, it should be in no way be mentioned in regards of this helping to understand the source.

Edit: Dont get me wrong, i do still appreciate contributions, i just want to make it as clear as it is, and dont mislead people into wrong directions that might work, but dont involve the actual topic.

Gameguard advanced a tiny tiny bit and you need to make ur way arround. You cannot inject dll's anymore while gameguard protects that process. Manual mapping it wont help anymore either.

Should be enough said to get it to work again i guess. If not or you're a lazy boi, check my sig.

You need to emulate a heartbeat, yes, the gameguard encryption is pretty much available on the web, its blowfish algo, howsoever, the effort into emulating is not worth the time when you could just go beside of it. Bypassing its protections is in my eyes the easiest way instead of emulating the heartbeat.

There's tons of way to do it. In the end, gameguard is running in ring3, usermode, means you could evade it by going ring0, kernelmode, for example. There's tons of tutorials on that on the web, but it might take a bit of effort. And i do only mention kernelmode because its pretty obviously able to bypass GG easily. There's million ways leading to rome, you just have to start your journey.
