XIV-Hunt

XIV-Hunt automates hunt reporting and can put the reports directly in your in-game chatbox. When a hunt is reported, XIV-Hunt writes a chat message, in your echo channel. Run the XIV-Hunt client, choose which ranks you would like to get reports for, and leave it running in the background.
Even if you're not hunting at a particular moment, running XIV-Hunt in the background will help other hunters on your world.
Examples:




If you want the last known info of a hunt, you may write /hunt name in your chat box. This can also give you position for your daily Clan Mark bills (Heavensward and Stormblood only).

Why "No items found."?
I did not manage to call the assembly function for "add chat message" correctly. Manually writing the message and then calling the function that does an item search, also adds a message and thus I can make sure the message XIV-Hunt wrote is displayed properly. If I didn't do the latter, the hunt-report message would likely end up in a different chat tab.

Tried it a bit yesterday, no issues so far besides that message function which you're aware of.
About the website, could you set up a toggle feature for each rank type ? Similiar to this one :
It's a bit easier to read when you can toggle off the B ranks.

Another nice feature would be a custom sound that is played whenever a hunt is pushed into the chat log. It would keep people from having to use ACT for that.

Anyway, nice work ! It's a relief to have something like that. I was missing Guildwork's feature.

I wonder if adding e.g. <se.5> works with the way you add an echo line.

Can you add Ixion and Tamamo-no-Gozen?

If I do that, there is no way of telling where the hunt message will appear. It may very well appear in your battle tab or a place where you will miss it. Sorry.

<se.5> and others sadly don't work. I could search for those functions but it would add time to maintain after each patch. Instead I have added a function where you can choose a custom sound file (.wav) that's played, by the app, when a hunt is reported.
And yes. I have added Ixion and Tamamo-no-Gozen. I haven't tested them yet though.

Right click your taskbar, or the windows button in the corner -> Start Task Manager -> If you're on Win8/Win10, click More Details -> Click the Processes tab -> Find XIV-Hunt.exe or XIV-Huntx86.exe, Right click it and press Kill/End process.
And then try running it again.

I asked u/Ariyala on reddit to Contact you in Order to merge your Websites together in Functionality, or maybe in Order to have you convert over to ffxiv.ariyala.com completely, since most people use that Tracker. Has there anything been going on with that?

Great work on this, just one problem when I started useing it last week messages showed up in echo now aftersome patches they only show up in systems?

This is great , I prefer this app to the ACT triggers to find the hunt mobs. however it doesnt like to run at all if I have AfterBurner running to control my GPUs fans.

She hasn't contacted me, yet, but I'm willing to relay or have each client report to Ariyala as well. Maybe I should contact her.

That is weird, I do not remember changing the chat channel byte.
Hunt messages are written in/with the Echo channel byte, so they will have the appearance of an echo. But due to the way they are displayed, they will appear where(in the same tab/channel), and when, the next 'real' message appears; that is why I do an item search, which should have the hunt messages displayed in System Messages.

I am however unable to reproduce this bug. I switched from Precision X to AfterBurner a month ago, specifically to set a custom GPU fan curve, and XIV-Hunt is still working here.

EDIT: If XIV-Hunt closes immediately after launch, and you're running RivaTunerStatisticsServer, try adding XIV-Hunt.exe/XIV-Huntx86.exe to RTSS with the Application Detection Level set to NONE.
