i have read many times that we all should try and edit our owne file and not buzzing on ppl but i just wonder why can't some1 just make a video tutorial not showing us how to edit the hole file but at least the first few steps.the tutorial that is in the DIY kit is not very helpful

I am so lost! Ugh!!! I get as far as getting the new game.swf version file. Than i extract it and recompile it. I open global.class.asasm but when i try to do the same to TR file to compare them i can't. His file looks like a foreign language haha. Also what checks are we suppose to remove? Wow i feel blonde lol.

Can anyone help me please!!!

I Started v74 from scratch last night comparing it to the TR99 v73 and it did work I instant repaired my fleets last night but now it goes S.O.S will try again. Any help?

Now there are some clear differences between the 2, but how do i know what should be there and shouldnt be there?

Which old hack file did you use? I only have this newest one from this thread and i can't get it to work. When i follow the steps as i do for the new game.swf file and try to edit it in notepad+++ i see alot of symbols and strange language lol.

gcrystal, you can't just edit the darn SWF file. You have to decompile it, compare it with the new SWF, edit the new one with notepad++, save and recompile the new SWF.

It's not that simple as just editing the SWF with notepad++ as SWF is in machine language, that is why you see weird symbols. LOL!

Try get Sothink Decompiler, then look at the Actionscripts inside the SWF and you will know what I mean. You have to extract those scripts out, edit them, recompile into the SWF then use it.

If you guys actually look what the master said, "the edits are totally different" so my guess is it's now not that simple as to compare and change, if you know what your doing then you can do it, I spent hours now me head hurts....arghhhhh
