Elsword NA :
Patching Problems
A small minority of players may experience a problem while patching their client. Only those that tried to login around midnight would be affected.

Rather than delay the service any longer we ask that those of you who are experiencing this problem do the following:

1. Download the newest file here. (Unfortunately i can't find the link so i can't put it but go instead

2. Find the folder containing the Elsword game data (assuming you installed it before today) and replace the previous Elsword.exe with the one you just downloaded.
a. NOTE: You will usually find this folder in C:\Program Files\Kill3rCombo\Elsword

3. Run the new Elsword.exe and login with your account

The client should patch normally after that. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please enjoy the game.

Bei ein paar leuten kann ein Problem auftreten während sie ihren Client patch'n.
Aber nur bei denen die versucht haben sich um Mitternacht ein zu loggen.

Die Leute die das Problem haben sollten am besten dies tun:

1.Ladet euch den neusten File runter. IMPORTANT: Patching Problem | Elsword Online

2.Geh in den Ordner wo du Elsword installiert hast und ersetze anschließend
die alte Elword.exe Datei mit der die du bei schritt 1. heruntergeladen hast.
(C:\Program Files\Kill3rCombo\Elsword)

3.Starte die neue Elsword.exe datei und logg dich mit deinen account ein.

Der Client sollte wieder normal patch'n.

Important: EXP Bug Fix

Well it wouldn’t be a real test without a few bugs now, would it?

Players have helped us identify an EXP display bug. You may have noticed that EXP does not register until you defeat a boss. This can be easily corrected and we won’t even bring down the game to fix it.

All you have to do is exit the game and log out. When you log back in, the client will automatically download a small patch file that will correct the problem. Easy peasy.

Thanks to the players that reported the bug on the forum. Enjoy your game.

Vargo has overrun Belder!
The city is in ruin and only a few citizens have returned, to help you battle evil.

Imagine the Vargo thugs in two new dungeons and show them that they can't mess with you.
It should be easier now, because you can level up to 45 now.
But it's far from being a piece of cake!

2nd job
The next three weeks will be devoted to the class change.
It will be celebrated with a lot of events, where you can get great items and avatar outfits.

First up is Elsword. from 4/5/2011 to 11/5/2011, any Elsword character who is level 35 can do the 2nd job change.
Every Elsword character who is lower than level 34 will get a 50% exp so that everybody can play his 2nd job.

The week after, it's Aisha's 2nd job change turn from 11/5/2011 to 18/5/2011. All Aisha players who are 34 and lower receive 50% extra exp!
Finally the last week it's Rena's turn from 18/5/2011 to 25/5/2011. Again, all Rena players who are 34 or lower receive 50% more exp!

New crafting system

Monsters will now drop items which you can use to craft items. You can use them to get potions from the alchemist,
or new weapons at the blacksmith. Your old crafting items will no longer be used, but you can exchange them for the new ones.
This possibility exists for 2 months. After that, all the old crafting items will dissapear.

Super Star, Pop Star or Diva?

The item-shop has prepared some new items for you. There is a cool Superstar look for Elsword, a Diva outfit for Rena and and Pop star outfir for Aisha!

We’re almost there. Had a few minor bug crawling around the code but they’ve been squashed. Just finishing a final round of internal testing and then we’re good to go. The team has been working non-stop since yesterday morning to prep the latest patch for primetime and they won’t rest until the Elbrats are back online. Mostly because we’ve chained them to their desktops and feeding them energy drinks and coffee intravenously. Get some breakfast and we’ll see you at 6:30AM PDT this morning (May 4). If you really need something to do, hit the forums and cheer the Kill3rCombo crew on. See you soon.

This is what you’ve been waiting for. At 5AMish PDT*, May 4, the Knights, Mages and Rangers of Elsword Online will be getting an upgrade so that you can start to fine tune your characters. Will your Elsword go magic? Will your Rena trade in her bow for some close quarter combat? Will your Aisha summon the demons of the dark or bring us into the light of High Magic? Choose your path.

To celebrate, everyone is eligible for a skill reset. All you have to do is complete a simple quest.

* Servers will go down at Midnight (00:00 PDT) and we’re scheduled to go live by 5Am but these things never go as planned. We’ll do our best.

Servers down 00:00AM to 5:00AM PDT, May 4 in preparation for the official launch of Elsword Online.

You’ll have to delay your Elsword fix for a few hours but we promise it will be worth the wait. The 1st Job Classes will finally be implemented. And in case you’ve been under a rock somewhere, a new event will also be included in this patch that will allow for a skill reset. Just find the NPC, Ariel, to start the “Revitalize for Job Advancement” quest and get a skill reset potion at its completion.

They're surprisingly good, props to the Chinese VA's, also Elsword China is beginning Beta testing (finally). Elsword China isn't released yet, and I just noticed this. They've had their website up since August, and all this time I thought it was already released.

- Reduction in frequency of attacks to dead monsters from pets.
- Pet attacks modified such that door is not attacked.
- "Stigma Shot" damage skill description error correction: current skill description appears to have more than 10% increase in damage.
- "Wally and the Nasod" quest fix: Name "Echo" swapped to "Lenphad".
- When there is lack of inventory space and cube is opened, the notice "Open cube failed due to lack of Inventory space" shown is modified.

Fluorite Ore for One Hour More May 18 to May 24

We’re giving everyone a chance to sample some Lvl 2 Fluorite Ore. It does more than just keep the dentist away. This little element can save your equipment from most wear and tear. Think of it as an insurance policy on your valuable items when an Enhancement goes sideways (see more details below). All you have to do is login to Elsword Online for 1 continuous hour to get a piece. You can repeat this event 1x per day for each character in your account. Be warned though that the event timer will be reset whenever you exit or disconnect from the game.

Rewards:

NOTE: You will initially get the (really terribly named) 60 Min Finger Training Ticket when you fulfill the event conditions. This will magically turn into Fluorite Ore Lv. 2 after the May 25th Maintenance.

WE REPEAT: The ticket will be converted to Fluorite Ore Lv.2 on May 25th Maintenance. This is automatic. You don’t have to do anything special. Just open your inventory after the maintenance and, voila…

Fluorite Ore Lv. 2 Protects the item’s enhancement grade from Enhancement or Epic Fail grade decrease effects.
Disappears after a use.
For Lv. 21~30 equipment.

*Unable to protect the item from ‘unable to use’ state if enhancement fails

*This may not be used for items +10 or above.

Elsword isn’t just a game. In Korea, Elsword and his buddies, Rena and Aisha, also star in their very own manga. You may have seen the translated version floating around the net. It’s a valiant effort, but we just don’t think it portrays our characters quite right. We couldn’t do any better because, well, we’re gamers, not writers.
We think you can though.

Judging from our previous contests, we’ve found that the Elsword Online community is filled with some extremely creative and talented people. (A few of the Voice Over Video Contest submissions were excellent, by the way.) That’s why we want you to rewrite Eltype, the Elsword manga. Come up with a story, write the gang some dialogue and give Elsword its due. Complete the story in this first volume or end it on a cliffhanger. Give us a reason to read volume 2. Go nuts on it. Complete artistic freedom. Make Elsword yours! We’ve got the art, you’ve got everything else. Sweeet. Let’s do this.

Check out the pages here. Just browse through each page for a while and see where inspiration strikes you. Start wherever you like, you can always go back and change it later. Your work will be saved until the submission deadline and you can edit it until you’re happy.

We’ll post Kill3rCombo’s top 3 and we’ll let the community vote on the winner. First prize is an original digital painting by one of the hottest up and coming cover artists, Chester Ocampo. Oh, oh, oh…and it will feature you as a new Elsword character. This is not a caricature, this is the shiznit. (I’m sorry, there’s no more appropriate word.) The top 3 will all get K-Ching as well.

We can’t wait to see what you guys come up with. Seriously.

The Sword of Demons, Muramasa!

Anyways enough with that, you can get the sword from a simple quest. All you have to do is complete a dungeon 3 times that you can gain EXP from. Simple as that. You then get a random box that contains one of the 5 murasmasa swords. However, you can only get the sword for one day, thats it, but its a daily quest so no need to worry! The murasmasa swords are a back accessory, not a weapon to use kids!

A Silent Tribute to the Fallen Soldiers
Event period: 05/25/2011 – 06/07/2011 (PDT)

Memorial Day is a time of remembrance and to honor those that have given nothing less than everything to protect us. Show your appreciation by dedicating a flower to their memory. All players will receive 1 decorative mums flower per character per day via in-game mail. Right click on the decorative mum to dedicate it to our fallen heroes. Help us reach the goal of 65,000 dedicated decorative mum flowers in a show of solidarity and gratitude. The running tally of dedications will be displayed on our website throughout the event period, and if the goal is met, we’re setting up a 2X Drop Rate and Unlimited Stamina Event in the next client patch to reward your efforts. Be sure to tell all your friends. Every dedication counts!



Operation: Rescue Ponggo Soldiers!
Event period: 05/25/2011 – 06/07/2011 (PDT)

No man, woman or Ponggo gets left behind. Complete these one-time quests to rescue injured Ponggo soldiers in the yet uncharted Altera Island dungeons.
