I started playing that game a few weeks ago. They will not be happy if they find someone is ripping their name off.

I would hurry and change it, it's only a matter of time before they find out.

Exactly. I've played DarkSpace for years, and copying the name of another game is kind of "stealing". They should change it immediately before anything happens :/

Yes BigPoint is a big company too but they don't care about the private server as long it doesn't make any profit (money) and doesn't affect or relate to them. HOWEVER,

is different.

DarkSpace has existed for years. They have approved business licenses and copying their name can mean serious offences. It happened in the USA several hundred times and you can get in big trouble by copying names :/

Is a good game. Whether or not they have a problem with it, I'd not want to see their name used like this.

As for BigPoint, well they never really seem to care about their players so I couldn't care less about their works being stolen.

Lol I don't even play DarkOrbit anymore. It's no longer any fun, everyone is a bot, nothing new, and real players that are on are either really, really weak or extremely overpowered.

And yes, I don't really want them using the title "DarkSpace" like this. I love playing DarkSpace, played it for nearly 2 years now, and it's an offence to me for someone to copy their name like that.

I will make also a private server when i finish all and i will call it Lost Galaxy...

Doesn't matter if it's visual or not, it could still get this game/private server into a lot of bother. I've recommended it be changed, whether they heed my advice or not, is on them.

Anyway, I am looking forward to the full release of this. It looks quite interesting, and I can tell a lot of work has gone into it. I'm sure it'll be very fun to play once all the bugs are squashed.

As for the files that you don't wish to share, just remember to keep a back-up somewhere safe. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen a project like this go to waste because of an HDD failure where the creator was too concerned about their works being stolen.
