Yeah, it works on a virtual machine. Just download a cracked Windows 7-10 from the internet, if you don't want to buy Windows.

I'm asking for XP just cause it's smaller and less system consuming than windows 7. My internet is ****, so it would download faster and run smoother i presume.

Dunno if itll help of if you know, if you have anti virus on your actual desktop and not your VM it can still stop things running on the VM, so try turning it all off on your main desktop
