Well this isn't what Okapi and I found the other day, but its something I found just now. Okapi and I have had a bet going a while now that DarkOrbit would go "Download" or "Standalone" and I said they wouldn't and he said they would. From the looks of it, he was closer to correct than I thought:
Code:

Client Update

A new client version has been released, the update is required to play
Please wait until the installation of the update is finished.

DOWNLOADED %DONE% of %ALL%

Interesting to say the least ;-)
Then we have that new Winter gate. Seems like there will be two versions, and easy and a hard version:
Code:

completed coldwave hard

completed coldwave easy

Not sure if this has been posted already but its the dialogue from the "ColdWave" gate:
Quote:
|
You insignificant insects! I would have permitted you to die as your universe did, but you have now earned my particular attention - and this warning, which you are all receiving at once. I will see your entire puny race drained of its energy before I consume the rest of your universe!
|
Quote:
|
Do not presume to believe that you've defeated me, tiny beings. You have merely briefly delayed my conquest of your universe. Once I have recovered enough to open a new Breach, you will learn the meaning of fear: I will show you no mercy!
|
On top of that a more complete summary of the "new" rockets is out:
Quote:
|
Give your foes a frosty reception! Hit your target and render it motionless for a whole two seconds. EMPs as well as the abilities "Afterburner" (Lightning ship design) and "Travel" (Citadel) can protect you against these freezing long-range rockets!
|
And I know Okapi already did a video of the Skoll, but here's a gif for you all:
Other than that, not much more to comment on really...
