In terms of long term security - any DMA solution is going to leave traces on your PC that can be enumerated at higher levels of league AC play. Even if you stay UD for some time, eventually someone will try to make a buck off the solution thats being provided by your provider and it will get caught. Every high level AC is monitoring DMA closely and will do into the future. Motherboard firmware is the way to go. Leaves no traces in the OS and requires no extra hardware.

Are you able to provide any evidence or backing to that statement? Even the smallest amount would suffice. Or perhaps could you possible explain what part of BIOS Firmware is a "scam" other than the fact that it is simply a better solution than DMA?

You will not see a top level streamer / pro or semi-pro using DMA from a physical card. Too risky. The chances of getting caught are just a matter of proper PCI-e enumeration, bus translation, IOMMU, or even simple heuristics.

With BIOS Firmware the memory is NOT accessible to the AC due to the CPU physical architecture. You are protected by the design of the chip itself, not the ability to hide or obfuscate your PCI-e Slot. Since we are operating on the baseboard it is a built in DMA - so I am not sure what you mean by DMA being better? Do you mean PCI-e Cards being better?
