Since so many seem to have a problem with hexediting, and can't be bothered to learn anything, I made an autopatcher for this (the fact I'm too lazy to hexedit every single time might also have something to do with it

). It runs right before CO's autopatcher, editing Conquer.exe if it isn't already edited. Since the autopatcher restarts itself whenever it installs a new patch, it will always work even though it runs before the CO autopatch, until one of three conditions are true:
1) They have the autopatcher (AutoPatch.exe) in the patch archive (then you simply reinstall this patch according to the instructions below).
2) Conquer.exe is already running while you're patching (then it will just start the CO autopatch without the multi-client patch).
3) TQ changes the string, then the patch will simply do nothing except start the CO autopatcher.
Including source code since I'm aware you don't trust exe-files without it.
edit: Karma to original poster.
edit2: Can be run only once too if you extract it elsewhere and rename it before copying it to the Conquer folder, and run it after that.
Instructions:
1. Open your Conquer folder (normally C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0).
2. Rename AutoPatch.exe to COPatcher.exe (or if your file is named only AutoPatch, you rename it COPatcher, in other words, don't include the .exe unless it's included in the original filename).
3. Extract the AutoPatch.exe from the attached zip-file to your Conquer folder.
