UPX packer leaves a "header" (Collection of data at beginning of file) in the file that has its name in there.
You can see it quite easily (even in Notepad) and then use any UPX unpacker to put the file back to its normal size.
Almost every programmer / script-kiddy in the world knows how to pack and unpack with UPX though... and TQ didnt even remove the UPX headers to make it a tiny bit harder to find... there was 0% effort put into this "Hack fix". The ONLY benefit of UPX packing is that the exe can be downloaded faster & takes less space on your drive. Repacking it after modification isn't needed as the auto-update program doesn't check the files it replaces first.

To repack if your bored or stupid, use ummm... UPX packer.
For those of you too dumb to use google:
(The top link when searching for UPX)
