Conquer Online Public Bot Concept

Hey everyone,

So, I'm not sure how active the botting community is anymore. Is anyone still interested in a public bot like what ConquerAI once was? If so, I have a bot design that drafts an entirely new method of attack that would give TQ quite a run for their money; probably months or years of good botting. I can't imagine a good way for TQ to accurately detect the bot either, given the design and maintenance plans. If I completed the implementation, would anyone wish to purchase the project off me? Otherwise, I probably won't bother. Let me know.

Cheers,
Spirited

That really depends, of course there will be a lot who will purchase subscription or the bot after you will set it for sale, but making it public means you must also maintain it everyday and it will be a lot of hassle in your side. So if this bot is really good, I suggest you set it to private in that way instead of months/years of botting it will be long than that.

Without a doubt, the most expense comes from maintaining the bot, which is why I have no desire to launch a service for it; however, I can at least guarantee that the method of attack is solid. In the event that the method of attack is compromised somehow, I have a complexity fix documented that takes little effort and makes it exponentially more difficult for TQ to fight against. They'd basically seal their fate if they went for the method of attack.

Edit: Anyways, the point isn't really about describing my method of attack, since I best not. I just wanted to see if anyone actually had interest in purchasing it from me.

I wouldn't sell it to someone who can't do anything with it. That would be a huge waste. They'd just release my work and be dumb. There are a select few that might be able to handle it - people who used to work on bots in the past. If I can't find a suitable buyer, then I'll just keep it in the design phase for a rainy day.

Just want to ask/clarify something, so by "buyer" you mean someone who will be a coder/programmer in CO who will continue the project? Or a buyer just like those who subscribe on ConquerAI?

My definition of a buyer is a programmer who has bot programming experience and can continue the project.

I'm feeling a bit skeptical about the detection part. As soon as the bot (or any bot, really) goes public, TQ will start detecting it. Don't underestimate their anti-cheat system.

All not what I'm asking.

(1) I don't need to tell you how it won't be detected. If you don't trust me, I couldn't give a ****. Probably for the best too, though even if I told everyone how I performed the attack, I doubt TQ would be able to stop it even then. It's not some simple "hook the client here" type of hack - it's probably the most complicated project I've ever designed.

(2) I have no interest in running a bot service. Either someone else does or nobody does.

Any public bot will get detected, it doesn't matter what method used for "intercepting". They will just find something specific to your release/project to target.

On the other hand, this isn't an issue for private bots.

For the very last time, I cannot hint at what makes it such a strong attack. Either people have an interest, or they don't.

Then how about making a prototype first, and then ask people if they're interested? A "bot design" is kind of useless and uninteresting, especially when you're not even willing to disclose any details about it.

Ok so I was chatting with dev lastnight and I came up with a little idea... The more I think about it, the more useful I find it and I feel like it could really be an interesting tool to have for conquer development... The reason I'm doubting it is... well... #1: Conquer dev is dead (everyone essentially is downloading/running a generic source or writing their own from scratch) #2: Because of this divide, there is virtually zero public development that is feasible But anyways... here's...
