Understanding HWID ban/ shadow bans

After a year away from playing on pc I'm back ��. I hope. Got Infinite spoofer through a reseller. Works great however the initial setup wasn't without its hiccups. For some reason it took about 5 or 6 accounts before it worked. Not sure why. I was trying with VPN off and VPN on etc. Interestingly it was the account I made myself with a Gmail account and used text verified was the one that finally got through. All the other accounts were shadow banned instantly. I wonder if it's because of the phone numbers their using? I heard they were cracking down on accounts with numbers from Russia and other places possibly China to where the majorty of cheaters are based. For refrence I got the accounts from ******** gg. I managed to get my account leveled up to level 8. Which is supposedly when it Removes the new accounts checks and limits like being able to get more than 11 kills in game without being disconnected. Yes that's apparently a thing now. I need to see if this account will survive the night and not be banned when I wake up to tomorrow but fingers crossed. I've got a good feeling about this one.

So the account survived the night but im back to getting 200/350 ping. And not finding any lobbies. Sigh. Do I wait out what could be a 7 day shadow ban and hope for the best or keep doing some trial an error? I must have a leak some where. Could they be banning IP to? I know people say they dont ban IP but I wonder if they do for severe cases of cheating lol. I would have certainly been a severe case I rage hacked for like 6-7 months straight back in like 2020/21. Before they finally started taking cheaters seriously. And now its asked me to verify my account. Well that account is pawned. They must be tracking via phone numbers. They've probably caught onto the text verified method but aren't saying anything.

IPs are not a issue. i have a perm banned pc and a unbanned pc were i cheat on same IPs. i just want to unban the secondary pc were i use to blatantly cheat lol.

Hoping to get a solid answer. So I'm building a brand new PC from scratch with brand new parts. Do I need to replace the Keyboard and Mouse or are those fine? I read in the past some said yes and most said no but those were pre ricochet days.

Currently: With the start of the MW2 Beta and the first Round my MW2 Account is shadow banned / Under Review since 23.09.2022. I could still play to level 30 in both good and bad lobbies (200ms ~ 20 ms). I still can play Vanguard & Warzone without any problems no Shadow ban/ban nothing. Currently I am also playing the Singeplayer of MW2. Whats happening here?

I'm in the same boat as you....My new account has been under review for two weeks now but I'm still able to play. Once I couldn't find a game because it spiked to 350ms, but otherwise I can join games. I'm not sure if I should consider getting new parts or using a perm spoofer.

hey guys, so i was banned from mw 2019 and warzone over a year ago, BUT i can still play cold war and vanguard on the same account that was banned, was also able to play mw2 beta and campaign fully, is there a chance that ill be banned once the game comes out? im seeing a lot of ppl getting banned atm and just wondering. Ive only been banned once and have no intention of using cheats. i did get shadow banned from vanguard about 5 months ago for literally no reason but it happened right after i changed my display name so thats probably why im assuming, any advice would be great.

I was Hwid banned in first EO detection, then I stopped playing. Just for curiosity, I created a new fresh bnet account and can play warzone 2 without problems.
The thing is, it goes to 200ms, but It takes seconds to find a game and mixed with PS4 and Xbox players. Is this a shadow ban ? I killed lots of players playing legit and they weren't clearly cheating. I'm really confused rn.

If you wish to check if you're shadowbanned just log in here and check your account status by appealing. https://support.activision.com/ban-appeal if you are shadowbanned your account will be marked as "Under review".

No, a spoofer will help you evade getting future bans on new accounts. Bans doesn't get lifted unless Activision decides to lift it.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately it's under review, but this time it's different, because I can play without any problem in seconds and the lobbies are good.

The sad thing is I know it will transform in a Perma soon because I'm hwid banned. 🥺

Yes I've heard of this "bug". Apparently you're not the only one suffering from being able to play while being under review. You shouldn't be allowed to do that though.

Its really mysterious what Activision is doing with shadowbans (accounts under review) atm.

I played two weeks MW2 and received a shadowban before some days.
Now the game keeps me stuck in lobbies where random people are randomly playing at pings of 120 ms.
Sometimes it hits me and sometimes just some others. Its really strange. I haven't read anything about that either. lol

Maybe they are trying to delude the ppl with the SB, confusing them, making them think they are clear and buy an account. I believe a lot of people is going to do that. Then they get with the ban hammer in some weeks. Just saying. ( Tbh Activision is really fishy and greedy, so I wouldn't be surprised)��
