Alright, so (imo) surprisingly, Infamous released a (again, imo) good source.
At first, I thought it was a horrible thing, however after speaking to Korvacs and thinking about it, I changed my mind. This could be a perfect opportunity to gain interest in Conquer PServers.

Korvacs convinced me this could change the community. At this moment, we're all trying to 'fix' and 'rewrite' functions in existing sources. But with this release, we could focus on adding new content and extending servers. This means servers can focus on entertainment, instead of stability.

Another great thing about this release is that this is full of good code, in contrast to most public sources around (no, not all.). I personally remember learning a lot from CoEmu (5095 if I remember correctly), which was no where as good as this one (with all respect). This could learn newcomers, and those who are still interested in learning, great new techniques, at least it did for me.

However, how should the community handle this?
Should we start writing thousands of guides on how this works? Or should we focus on adding some things which were lost or damaged (afaik, the npc and item scripts are lost)? Should we make this 'up-to-date' or should we add missing features? Or are we all going to work on our own source of which 100's of them are released? I don't know what should nor what will happen. I can only hope 'good' coders will start releasing once again, writing guides etc. Please, do not release your own 'version' of this source, instead you should release whatever you add. At least imo.

Wall of text, I know, but after all I believe we should handle this correctly instead of making a big mess.

I don't know if it's that I've 'lost faith' but I don't see the point in releasing additions to a source 99 pct of people won't be able to setup in the first place..

I consider it an AMAZING reference but not something I'd ever want to use to actually host a server (although now thinking about it, that would be kinda cool to do)

If all of you've lost faith, why are you still here?
Infamous made a start, we should at least give it a try.

I've got the source up & running for a long time already.
I think thats most important at first.
After getting it working, I simply studied the source, than I started editing it.
First thing I would do at that stage is either modifying the db system or recovering / adding the NPC script files.

Aren't the scripts already there?

Most of them were missing when he sent it to me, doubt all of them are in here.

Oh I see, I didn't really test the NPCs, just barber and 2nd rb ones.

Not all the npcs were even done originally.
He only did the ones needed for his server
