[Request]Updater Help with patches

I have, once again, hit a roadblock. And i've read everything i can find on it, but no one is explaining in better detail how to make a patch. I've downloaded countless programs, tried so many things, and nothing is working.

I made the zip file of the update.sah and update.saf. However, freewebs won't accept the zip file. So how do i even make a patch? Can someone explain it in better details? I've checked all of elitepvpers and ********.

I am also still getting the runtime error, but i have a feeling that's to do with the patch. Can someone please help me, and not be mean about it?

You rename zip the update.sah / .saf. Once you've zip'd them you rename to
ps00xx.patch

Can you explain in more detail the entire process, step by step, so i can start over and redo it all?

I recommend using Lilpro's tool, is easier to make a patch with it.

You will have 2 folders called Data & Output.
You put the things you want to patch in the Data folder & open the tool
Go to file > patch and it will ask a few things... for patch number is whatever you want.
Patch will be on output folder.
Use search button to get his tool :3

I am using the Shaiya Data file Tool. When i click create patch, it gives me an error and asks if i want to continue or close the program. When i press continue, it doesn't do anything. Am i using the wrong tool?

Make sure you have the dll in the same folder as your tool, without the dll, the tool wont work.

nvm, i got it to make it finally. Now how do i make my updater recognize it? It keeps deleting my version.ini atm

Dunno if this matters. Rename shaiya to Shaiya...

changed. Now what do i need to do so it patches and doesn't delete my version.ini or give me a runtime error?

I thought it had to be the next number up: 0127. Do i have to make a new page for the patch? or just put it with the updateversion.ini page?

You need to have a patch folder in order for it to work.

I have mirage101/Shaiya/patch/ps0127.patch

that's all in the folders.
