Editing question

Ok my question is woulndt gimp shop work just as good as photo shop? as in editing skins effects n stuff?

i believe so as long as you know how to use it good enough

does gimp shop or w/e have a dss plug in? that's why photoshop is recommended

not that i know of u have to have a dds. converter to do that and if there is a pulgin i would like to know. but i have a dds. converter that im just starting to use. but there is a problem tht im having and it that i change to .jpg and then edit wit gimp then change it back and is doent work? hmmmmm.......
