Is it true about the ancient chest preview mod?

I've heard on the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] that someone has created a way to preview the ancient chests so they know which ones to use keys on and which to dump. Is this true, and does anyone know who has it?

If it exists, it is a private mod, so don't get your hopes up. But this sounds a lot like the owl event mod to choose your rewards that was rumored to exist.

I looked into this a few days ago. Although you can make it play the open chest animation, nothing pops out. In fact, nothing happens* after it plays the animation. It's simpler to treat it as a premium chest with clientside decorations.

This is just a case of someone hearing a rumor and over-reacting without getting the facts. It's pretty easy to find out what to modify and as such, should such a flaw really existed, someone would've already released it and ruined it for everyone. Nexon/Devcat did not mess up this event.

*It says "Unable to use Item", but that's a minor detail.

Even if it did exist what makes you think that the item that is previewed is whats actually in the chest?
