Gedankenspiele und Motivation, Diskussion?

Guten Abend Flyff,

Robin

I have lost the majority of my motivation as well. For me, it's mainly that I do not really earn any profit or anything from working on the game. That might sound bad, but working on it really gains me nothing. My time is consumed with two real jobs and then doing some stuff with friends.

Now for me, It would be different if I didn't have to work two jobs. If I could just laze around, I would feel more obligated to get back to working on my stuff. A lot of these servers that come out aren't too intensely different nor customized. Half of the stuff can simply be replicated.

Now, every server I play is quite boring. Nowadays, it's all practically the same, or the servers are just badly done. It honestly makes me think that any of these people that run servers hasn't played an mmorpg since 2006. lmao. I am not complaining about any nostalgia, but when times start evolving new ideas are put on the field which obviously makes games better.

Go for it, if you can easily replicate the stuff the top servers have, you can quit your two jobs and live off flyff.

You guys really have to get over it, people who play flyff do it for nostalgia, people who develop flyff do it for money. No more, no less.

If people wanted to play a modern MMO they could just download one, just saying. Don't try to "modernize" flyff, you won't have an audience. If you want to "modernize" flyff you might as well just make a new game using a proper engine using proper models/textures, but who'd want to do that? (Insanity HD is a meme and they should get over it, too)

1.3k to 300. New cluster when. ;) Also, that isn't so official like, isnt it.

And you can probably get quite a decent audience by doing a few things with modernizing the game -- not completely modernizing the game. Also, the game could use better balance with not just pvp, but the whole structure of the gameplay itself. lmao. But, what can I say, most people that do develop don't even play the game nor play any mmos.

I don't see how that's any relevant here, I've never mentioned any specific features or servers, although I'd love to see you replicating some of mine to run properly :)

Well, do it then and earn yourself a fortune instead of whining online about your shitty life :)

It is quite relevant as you're only stating nostalgia pulls players in, yet you're server isn't fully equivalent to the official servers nor from the past official servers. Your server contains changed mechanics and some of them are indeed modern mechanics. Other than that, you must be doing something incorrect if you're player based has dropped at one point from 1.3k to 0 for a new cluster to be opened and that already being dropped to 300. Not saying much but playpark may or may not have more concurrent players.

Haven't I already replicated a few? Maybe a bit done very terribly with my lack of knowledge, but regardless. lmao. Also, there are a lot of people here that couldn't be bothered to replicate them; however, they could quite easily do so.

You're definition of whine is very closed-minded and makes yourself look like a narcissistic sociopath by the way -- but what can I say, apparently stating some life facts about oneself equates to a whine.

We live in a time where everybody thinks the same:
Higher, Faster, Further

What everybody is looking for is a feeling where you build your character step by step where you feel like every day you play gave your character some sort of progress.
The problem which occurs here is that meanwhile nobody wants "to waste his time" with levels 1-60... "The real game starts at 105 or even hero, right?"

But that's not how it works the result of that logic is that you reach max level within 2 minutes and then grind your ass off with platin levels... I'd rather level slowlier and enjoy the world of Madrigal again... Maybe that is a way to think about "nostalgic feelings".

@[Only registered and activated users can see links.

I can totally understand both types of players. The first one loves Flyff, but wants new and more content. Most servers nowadays added so much custom content (maybe too much?), but on the other hand there are also people who just wants to stay in the "nostalgic bubble" where they started to love this game many years ago.
