PVP Cap problem

the pvp cap not working, they can were the caps but the names in white still
when it should be red, so they can attack each other

help me to fix it if you can please means alot to me,

Old pvp cape system already disabled in vsro 188 it's hard coded. It's like an avatar now

Hmm. CharacterVisualChange?
We had it done at Elamidas, but Simulation did that. If I remember correctly it should be inside Charactervisualchange.txt

he's talking about old pvp cape (the item it's self) and it's disabled in the source .
your way will only change the effect of new pvp system

Nah, he's talking about the character names. (Check the picture specified border) They're enemies in PVP, so the other guy's name should be in red.

did i understood him wrong ? i don't think so !
if you wear old pvp cape(the item it's self again) it wont effect the pvp system packet since it has been replaced with new pvp system in Action window.

they aren't enemies since the system isn't working (there's no packet for old pvp cape)

There is no disadvantage using the new PVP system and adding the old PVP visuals. It is 1:1 the same as before the exclusion of the class.
So, what's the problem here?
Instead of unnecessarily using up an inventory by an item:
You will get your name flagged (red) and you will get the PVP-Cape effect while you still have the usual PVP mechanic. Done.

What should someone aim for instead? reimplementing the old-cape system? What a waste of time.
Why reinventing a working system.

good question, the answer is, its just same, after using the charactervisual.txt except one litile thing, that if u use the devil u will start flaying and get a shoulders from that buff, second, if u go far enough to hide then u come back, we will see u red name with full devil skin, wish means, its like i didn't even edit the charactervisual.txt

but the cap will disable all the effects, that's why the cap is better, ^_~

hope u can help me doing it, beside iam sure it will means alot to all our players..

so we have 2 choices here, 1 we edit the charactervisual.txt to make the new cap system works perfect just like the old caps items, or we just fix that old caps, hope u find my post useful :(

i know it's only a waste of time , but i just made his question clear.
btw it can be done via packet filter without any asm edits

i will try it now, and i will write back the result, i hope that devil spirit effects doesn't affect the cap

this is the player him self in all the positions after activiting the spirit
