Hi,
Mein englisch is leider sehr sehr schlecht darum frag ich euc ob ihr mir diesen text übersetzten könnt:
Hello, this is a utility that you may find very useful if you are hosting a server on a Dynamic IP. Since your IP address changes periodically, your users cannot connect to you until they have your new IP address. Heres what you can do to get around this, this seems to be the easiest way.
1. So, the first thing you need to do is go on over to DynDNS.com and make an account. Download the DynDNS program to update your new hostname. You can download it here.
After you install the program, just follow the instructions (type in the hostname you just created, as well as your login name, password, ect). And now this program will run on your server computer, and will automatically tell DynDNS when your IP changes, so your new DynDNS hostname always links to your current IP address.
2. Now, the next step, open up your l2j server config file, and for the 'ExternalHostname=', set it to the new DynDNS hostname that you created. This will make it so no matter what your IP address changes to, your server will always check for connections on the current WAN IP.
3. This is where this utility comes in handy. Since the windows Hosts file (what your users use to connect), only accepts an IP address and a hostname, and not two hostnames, you cant just have them put your newly created DynDNS hostname in there. Regularly you would have to tell your users what your new IP address is, so they can edit their hosts file and continue playing. Distribute this client to all of your users, it is pretty straightforward and does not require much interaction.
4. The user needs to run the utility, and press 'Add Host', and type in your DynDNS hostname (ex: lineageserver.DynDNS.com). Then they can select the host that they just added, and press 'Set As Default', and the utility will automatically get the current IP address of your server, and will change the Hosts file for them. This utility will continue running in the system tray, and it will periodcally check the hostname to see if the IP address has changed. If it has, it will automatically adjust their Hosts file with your new IP address. Its as easy as that!
So thats about it. Once you run the utility you will see it is quite easy to use. I hope I clearly explained everything for you. I have tested this, and it is working great. Please post any questions that you have.
The L2Director utility can be downloaded HERE.
Ich weis der is lang aber ich peil da nix und bitte nicht mir google übersetzten da nhem ich lieber englisch^^
