Staff ignored my thread, 2 people got scammed

Hello everyone. I have just seen this [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and I have something to add up to it.

On the 6th of January, I messaged EPVP's support staff via a thread in the Complaint Area : [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].
This is the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and this is the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], both from the image above.
And this is my convesation with him, images I have also attached to the thread posted on the Complaint Area :
After 24h, no response, but my thread had been viewed 39 times by whoever has access to the Complaint Area (the staff and me). After another 24h, the thread had been seen 50 times.

I posted this : .

At that moment, I created a second thread in the Complaint Area : [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
but I was simply told to keep the discussion to 1 thread. I continued with this post : [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

For anyone skipping lines, here is a tl;dr.

I encountered a shady person, almost got scammed. Then I proceed to warn other users about him. User [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] posts something in one of my [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] about user [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] TBM-PUSHING. I create a ticket to support on the 6th of December with all the images shown above. My post has since received ~80 views and has been tagged "Gmod required". In the meanwhile, I was [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] people about CapitalMarket and, unfortunately, this guy managed to scam at least 2 people.

The staff has yet to do anything about it. The scammer is still in the wild.

Banned after 2 people had to raise awareness? I'll get in contact with the people scammed by this dude after I made that thread. They will surely be willing to know why the scams could have been avoided

Do you want a 100% real answer?

Because no one can protect people from using or non using their brains.

It´s always easy to say "oh dear if they would have banned him earlier" ... it´s up to everybody to use our Guides and Guidelines. I would have never traded with his guy, also before he got the first - TBM.

You know why? If all guys would read our Guides a red lamp would go on... if a price it to good ... in worst case you will pay twice for something or your money is lost, however. It´s always the same "but the other guys are so expensive" ... yeah at the end you lost everything just because the "normal" trader cost you 5% more. That´s not the fault of epvp, in fact on other platforms you even don´t get any support... they have their TBM system and thats all.

Next time ask someone who is more experienced in trading, like me or in fact use a Middleman who supports you. I would have told you that --> "don´t trade with him" before you made a RaT.

I did the same as you and warned people regarding other people who got banned later on, in fact the admins can only bann someone after he scammed and after there are proofs to be 100% sure that it was a scam. And of course that can take some time, i would say all Admins and GMods have a normal job and a normal real life and you can believe me your ticket is not the only one in the Complaint Area.

And one point the reasons why people trade with those guys are always the same... and the answers and questions i get regarding those cases are also the same... that´s why i say the biggest risk in trading is the behavior of mostly unexperiences trader. In the past I had so many chances to scam people... i could write a book about the behavior of epvp member. :rolleyes:

And in fact what did you do? You helped a scammer to push TBMs, thats the same thing I saw with i think two other scammer in the past. In this case that´s a point where you support those guys with your TBM, that´s a point you should think about first, before using your finger to show on other persons.

I did that in order to protect myself. See, he still had access to my pin codes and you might be able to tell from the logs he got really heated when he saw the Neutral rating on his account. I think I've done the right thing.

What surprises me is the way Support works has changed. Years ago, I would get a user banned within the same day.

Sometimes it works on the same day... but in fact it depends on how much cases are postet in the complaint are. 50 Views doesn´t tells you that a person looked at your thread who has the right to bann a user, as you said it was marked as "GMod Required" so this case was marked for a GMod to take care of.

Its always right to post Scammer in the Complaint Area and of course everybody, including me, is sometimes frustrated when you made a posting and it takes to long to bann this user and he got more victims... but try to understing what work the staff is doing here all the time without getting payd for!

Some Mods just read the complaints because they are bored so that is why the counter is that high - also counts ur visits, so it isn't unique if I am sure.

But sometimes just pm them and try to spam a lil so they reply, mostly Acid replies rly fast.
(And I am saying this as someone who had differences with him. xd)

It is sad tho that this guy didn't get banned and scammed 2 others.
If this happens, you are allowed to say that you got scammed in his thread, maybe that will get more attention from other users and will make people avoid that guy.



Maybe they should also scale the complaint area into priorities, which need the most and least - rated by mods.

Is was scaled, but I needed a Gmod to review the thread. And well, you know how that went...
