The new Rainbow Six Siege Update 2.1 is available now on all platforms and includes changes to gameplay, maps, operators and specific game modes. Efforts are made and Ubisoft has announced to make improvements to the game every three months. This is happening as part of an update process that Ubisoft gave the name of Operation Health, which field is technology improvements and bug fixes.

Other changes include resolving certain exploits, such as being able to melee kill someone through Mira's mirror. Three locations where spawn kills are possible to have also been addressed (One location is shown in the image above)

In terms of update 2.1, Ubisoft has previewed the changes a while before, but that doesn’t make them any less welcome. Players now can also expect fixes for everything from missing audio effects and icons, to weapon alignment and lingering breathing sounds. The new patch introduces One-Step Matchmaking, which means faster matchmaking results. According to the giant gaming company, this is a huge step towards better performance and faster queues times.

You can also browse menus while waiting for a match, which is also the new feature called Interactive Matchmaking. You can purchase new operators, tweak your load outs, and so on, stuff you weren’t able to do before when you joined the queue. After following a match, you and your party can vote to go back to the menu, re-enter matchmaking, or continue with your current group.

Also, improvements are implemented regarding hitbox changes; players will no longer suffer damage when they take hits to things that should not hurt them. Also, the new patch involves the team adding audio and visual cues, which means if a bullet would hit the headset, it might cause a puff of yellow liquid and an audible slosh.
