Today I would like to announce our S4 Private Server project which we have been work on now for like 6 months. As of now we are going with naming it "Pentaleague" for the lack of a better name, but we are open to ideas.
This server is very different than the typical S4 Server concept, we are using a completely custom packet format and an entirely new way for dealing with the game's logic. Using a "man-in-the-middle" type of system, we greatly minimize the amount of data sent to and received from the server.
Written in a multi-threaded, asynchronous, and platform independent C++ model based on the open source library [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] which guarantees the best latency. Instead of the classic S4 Design (Auth, Game, Chat & Relay Server) we've merged all these servers into one which closes a lot of security vulnerabilities.
We plan to run the server with the motto of Free-To-Play, meaning that there will be no paid advantages over other players, like Force Pack (FP). Items with FP stats will be easily obtainable from the in game store, with basic skins. Meaning the only paid content will be more skins for weapons and boosts for PEN and EXP.
We also intend to add our own fully custom content into the game, a member of our team is already working on making this dream come true! Meaning custom skins, maps, maybe even completely new weapons!
The server is still in development and has no release date yet. We're open mindend for new ideas so we'd appreciate your ideas in that topic!

- TCP management is done and runs smoothly
- Auth server is done (+ MYSQL management)
- Account informations for Game & Chat are basically done
