That's not exactly true. In Crespo Dung, there are already Lasputins, Algols, and Aldemerins spawned when you enter the dungeon. If you turn on the non-aggro after entering, all 3 mob types will sometimes stay fully aggressive. It's best to turn on non-aggro outside the dungeon. If I turn it on just before entering, I never have any problems.
There is also the issue of ranged mobs being able to attack. Non-aggro sets their range to 0, but they are still able to hit you sometimes if their attack delay timer ends at the exact instant they are passing directly over you. It looks like they are attacking normally, because they go through full attack animation. For a L8x mage, a few hits from the Lasputin Sorcs will kill you really fast. I would recommend Lightning resistance to counter that.
