Work is now on the client ...

Wow, you actually compiled it.
01/22/2016 05:32 Hacker.#3
It has been compiled on Visual Studio 2013

What is this? A custom client?

So you linked it with the DirectX 8.1 SDK, and brought it up to the current standard of C++ (or one of acceptable ages for compilation in Visual Studio 2013). Out of curiosity, you must have supplied the client with assets, right? Or are those assets a part of Demon already and I just missed them.

Modify some of the files, but is basically a Demon

How funny. I can't believe someone got that thing compiled. I'm just not sure how great of an idea it is. I'm guessing this was just for fun, right? I can't imagine much else besides that. If you were to rewrite it into a game (or Conquer Online for that matter), you might just be better off rewriting it completely using a different base technology. What are you objectives for a project like this?

I hope this project operating system to Conquer

Damn, this look pretty! Old, but pretty! :O Amazing

It is updated to be a new :D ...

Well, it's definitely interesting... I just don't know how well it's going to stand as a server. TQ's binaries were quite shit, and I don't really imagine this being much better. The client also has performance problems; which is why I mentioned it might be better just rewriting it and using Demon as a reference.

I am now working on the client to work to Conquer but now it works without problems, you can run the game ...

Edit:

You want to solve your problem is to work additions "DXSDK + MySql" are true ...

Whats your goal for this project? to get it working with conquer 1.0?

Maybe I'm being dumb but I fail to see how this would be a better/faster option for creating a conquer 2.0 client compared to simply writing your own using modern technologies (or leveraging an engine such as unity)

Thanks to this source you have a solid reference on how TQ handles a lot of info... most client files are fully documented long ago so I would think re-creating every missing TQ feature using this source would be more cumbersome than simply writing those features in something that's going to be more maintainable/scaleable in the future.
