[RELEASE] Captain Herlock without 170 Pet Level Cap

10/14/2014 16:31 c1ph3r#1
I don't know if this got leaked allready but since I did it one year ago and I'm almost out of this section I decided to release this for public.

This is the 8.1 Gameserver which allows you to level pets up to level 300.

Install Instructions:

1. Replace CaptainHerlockServer.exe with the one in the archive.
2. Put Levels 171-300 into your SummonLevelResource in your Arcadia Database.
3. Create the Summonlevelresource RDB file and put it in your client.

Have fun.

EDIT:

If you do have problems post them into this thread.

Care to explain how you did it?

Phrase:

Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you'll have fed him his whole life.

It isn't hard to find the hexed byte by comparing the same captain herlock versions. But the moment the code of the captain herlock changed it won't be the same bytes anymore. So you have to search in every version again.

So it isn't hard to find the hexed bytes if you have the hexed version. The hard part is to find it if you don't have a hexed version and have to find it by disassembling the captain herlock ;)

youre surely right.
if you dont talk about me, cuz i have found it a way before, when tired of 9000 gajillions matches but the correct value was not in the asshole of a program, fortunately=)

but think its easy to find it in newer versions if there will be a correct .pdb for captainherlock (just think, prove me wrong)

I do not understand the end of the first part of your post sry xD

I used IDA to modify it. And i did it last Year when nemesis announced this feature. And if you found it on your own you will find it in every gs because you know where to search.

Thanks and Nice release, however there is a bug with this release, not sure if you're aware of it, the pets does not gain any EXP when killing mobs, yes it gets to lv 181, when using the command to learn all skills, otherwise the pet gets 0 EXP and 0% even at level 1

you have just an exp value overflow for a creature when it gets too much exp at 181 level.
google about 4-byte unsigned integer overflow.
and about gaining EXP by killing monsters - just make a SummonLevelResource RDB for a client. also make sure you have no rows in that table as like:
level10 = 100 exp
level11 = 100 exp (or maybe even lower).
every next level must require more exp than its previous.

or they diddnt put all 300 levels in which wont let any pet gain any experiance

You do have to resource the new summon level resource changes from the server to the client.

My pets would not gain experience until I did so, after making the new RDB it worked fine.
