Sony Vaio - Trying to install Windows 7 - Bootmgr Missing..

I'm trying to install windows 7 on my Sony Vaio VGN-N11S with a freshly formatted seagate hdd.
However when trying to boot from cd/normal boot it gives me bootmgr.exe is missing press ctrl+alt+delete to restart in a loop...

The problem is i think i cant even boot from cd at all...
Because without a HDD it doesnt boot too.

Please help :)

boot from Windows7 DVD and press F10 then type the following:

bootrec /FixMbr
bootrec /FixBoot
bootrec /RebuildBcd

(press Enter after each line)

i'll try and keep u updated.
Edit: When i did the first line u said it gave me a Windows failed to laud because the HAL is missing or corrupt. the HDD is clean with 0 bytes on it
