[HELP] ODBC Problem

Hello all, again me, I have a big problem, I explain :

So first, I reinstalled SQL Server 2005, all are good, I created a log Shaiya Shaiya123 etc... I tried lot of times to reinstall SQL Server 2005 and Configuration Manager, but, when I'm trying to launch shaiya_db_restore to have my database, that say "ODBC driver manager data source name not found no default driver specified" help me plz :'(

Did you turn UAC off?

If not, go to Control Panel, move to the upper right corner where the search bar is and type in "UAC".

Now simple drag it all the way down and restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

Already tried, not working again :s

Did you uncheck "Hide advanced settings" during SQl 2005 installation?

I recommend you use 2008 R2.

Agree. You should use SQL Express 2008 R2 or more.

I tried to reinstall all server 2005 but not worked. I'm gonna try 2008, I hope that will work.

And no McFlip, I don't Uncheck advanced options because after I have problem :

SQL Database Services 10. already installed, anyway if you know how to fix it that will be useful :D

Use 2008 R2 and more. Not just 2008 ^^

Note that you don't have the hidden advanced settings in 2008 and above.

2008 R2 is also more secure than 2005, so go for it.

It's okay, but I prefer to keep SQL Server 2005. So if you know how to delete SQL Database Services 10, say please, and if you don't know, I will use 2008 R2.

To delete a service just open cmd.exe then enter:

By using this you can uninstall all shaiya and mssql services.

Don't tuch to other services ^^
