whne i browse a website that is dead/down, it takes really long time for firefox to say the site is down. because of this, i lose internet and co disconnects. few seconds later, i can connect co again.

it is like firefox forces to connect to the site but it is down.

how to avoid this?

Get an internet connection that doesn't drop. Tada your problem is solved!

It sounds like a problem you should talk to your ISP (internet service provider) about. If they replaced your modem, and for some reason it can't handle standard amounts of data, it might be a problem with your modem or connection. It would help if we knew what speed you're expecting from your provider and what you're actually getting. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
