Valve proves with this announcement, that they are right about having a huge fanbase around Steam. After some leaked information regarding sharing of games in the past, they now officially confirmed their project under the name "Family Sharing". Yet after the first few lines it's clear, that not only relatives, but also close friends are able to benefit from this feature.

As we reported months ago, there have been new indications on such a service already in June which weren't accessible for public by then. First attempts in the course of beta phase will start in the middle of September. In order to register yourselves for the beta, you will only have to join the official Steam group and hope to get accepted.

First uncertainties have been clarified in Steam's Q&A - the maximum limit of connected accounts, which are able to borrow games, is set to 10. While some games with required accounts or subscriptions can not be shared, it's possible to lend out all other games at one time. Furthermore it's explained, that a game can not be played by two users at the same time. If the original owner would like to start a game which is currently being shared and played, his or her friend is sent a message to close or to buy that game.

What do you think about this feature?

Guys... this is English news, so be fair and just reply in English. There are German news, where you're allowed to write in your mother tongue.

Your brother wont beable to play while you are playing games from his steam library.. You are better off just having him log in on your PC and turning on Offline mode

In any case, he won't be able to play all of his games at the same time.

What i meant was he wont beable to play any games if you are playing something from his library.. Only one person can use one library at a time.. The whole library is shared not just a single game..
