Hello

I am currently working on a new market map edit and need help with the middle part..

here a screen:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Now.. I think everyone knows the standard market edit.. There you can see the lovestone and under it a coronary.. and i want to remove it that u only can see my middle part and the lovestone above it.. so does anyone know how to remove that coronary?

best regards

The effect is a scenery object (recorded in a .scene file, linked to the map through the .dmap file). To remove it, you'll need to edit those files. There are no public tools for that right now, but the files aren't encrypted. They're just binary files. I might make one if it's requested enough (I'm currently fulfilling another request at the moment). Hopefully you'll figure it out sooner than I get to it. Maybe another member would be willing to do it as well. Good luck!

I think since you can replace objects with another 3D objects Like how fang replaced a tree with a minecraft tree. You can replace your coronary with an Un rendered 3D object. Un Rendered 3D object is invisible one.

Well technically, he could... yes. But if the effect is used anywhere else, it'll cause problems. In this case... he could actually just delete the file or replace it with an empty file, but the coordinates will still be filled (he won't be able to stand on the tiles). The only way to clear the space completely is remove the link from the dmap.

Not to be an ass, but if you want to edit something then edit it proper.

This ^^^^

Just remove it from the Dmap file. If you don't care about editing the tile specific access levels then you can parse it quite easily to do things like remove/change portals and map objects. They are relatively self contained in the file structure.

The 'tricky' part is designing a proper gui to handle each of the map elements, access levels and adding new elements as their structure is not the best documented in the world. The lengths of each type are well handled though and should be a simple matter to parse and remove from the file structure if you can figure out which object ID it is.

I think i won't remove it by myself.. I'm too lazy.. If anyone wants it for their server they should do it by their own..

If i am done with editing i am gonna release it. If they want it with or without the coronary is their choice.
