heya i dont know how to start SQL
look - there are 2 folders, one time C:\SQL2KSP4\MSDE and there are sub folders, but no launchers.
and C:\Programs\Microsoft SQL Server there are 2 folders: 80 and MSSQL.
in 80 is COM, SHARED and TOOLS. in TOOLS\BINN are some exe files, but nothing to start the main window of the enterprise manager. in MSSQL is nearly nothing interesting.

and that was all what got installed on my computer, wut to do?

Create a Shoutcut

Target : C:\WINDOWS\system32\mmc.exe /s "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN\SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC"

Start in : "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN\SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC"

I think first that u use the wrong MSSQL. uninstall MSSQL server and MSSQL Managment 2005.

Download the SQL out of this post and Install it correctly :

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

ATTENTION : On Installation look that you activate sql and windows auth mode. Dont forget it.

Install first time the Server ( autorun.exe )
Second time run the Service Pack 4 exe
Third time execute the bak files.

autorun.exe is error, i always installed with setup.bat
also workZ fine

btw: one of those has an error: SQL server 2000 or SP4 (i think SP4)
look - if you want to install SP4, you will fail ;)
at 20% it says that Instmsdb.sql cannot be read. idk what to do, i think download another servis package lol

EDIT: all works perfectly, but i dont delete what i wrote, cuz ppl who will have/had the same problem like me should have the very simple answer:
ok: you must install SQL server 2000 and the SP4 in different folders. thats all -.-
you will find the enterprise manager in the SP4 folder and the 80\TOOLS\BINN
