[Question] New Skills

Hey guys,

How would I create a new skill, what would be involved in doing this?

I want to create a Taoist skill called "freeze". I know the Axe skill freezes a person for a short period of time, so maybe one could use this...

To create a skill/spell you have to add the skill into MagicType.dat file in the client's ini folder, this file is encrypted so you will need a decrypter/encrypter to do this. Programs to do this can be found in this forum. The easiest way to do this is to copy/paste a line that is the closest match to the skill you wish to add, change the first number to whatever you want you custom skill's ID to be. Then copy paste the same relevant info in ani/Magic.ani and ani/Magic1.ani changing the numbers in the same way. Now you have a client capable of accepting and using the new skill, then you just have to code the skill into your server, which is the harder part.

And how would I make a funky new effect?
