Chargeback

Hello I sold somebody 125 DBs for $156.25 USD Via paypal. I told them to send as gift and everything but now they are using Chargeback to reclaim the money and the funds are being held by paypal. Do I have any options at this point?

I thought they can't do chargeback if payment is sent as a gift? My advice is next time ask the buyer to insert a memo stating "Payment of xxx$ sent for virtual goods/services received" Paypal does not touch virtual goods thus would not help him with a chargeback.

Other than that, I have nothing that may be of use to you :( I hope things go well.

Regardless what payment is made (even gift or mass payment) buyers can charge back anytime and always win. I'm glad I don't have paypal anymore.

You're screwed I'm afraid, contact them with valid proof.

Any update on your paypal case? Would like to know if you had luck to spread the help to all of those unfortunate like you were. Sorry for your loss.

Good luck getting your money back.

I'm afraid the case concerns me... We agreed $126,25 for 125DB's but as soon as he confirmed the transaction he wasn' responding to any of my messages on when i could receive the DB's

I now know that making the dispute was not neccesary and i did made this decision way to fast. Yesterday I decided to cancel the dispute (which I can proof) and the money should be released by paypal.

I really hope we can still close the deal.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. And one again, I am sorry for my reaction!

I got a feelin u should go with ur instinct...if someone suddenly dont respond its 9\10 times a bad sign.

And the fact that he stated in this thread that he sold the 125 dbs, yet he obviously didnt.

Well you've done the right thing... If he decided to give you your dragonballs. Maybe MiddleMan might have to be used..
