[TuT] All about Play9D

Hi all again,

When I saw a lot of stupid topics about Play9D (check [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]) with questions "how I can patch the game" and something like that, I thought - newbies will need that tutorial.

First, why do we like that server?

• great exp
• free items
• few items have low prices, like BBoE
• cheap IM
• and few more

I'm almost sure that you think - it's too beautiful, but where's the trick? There aren't, but this server isn't as perfect as you see now.

Play9D has many disadvantages:

• A LOT OF BUGS - party bug (!)
• low drop rate (bugged?)
• prices of LF - sometimes it's similar price to BBoE
• manual patching

Are you ready to rock?! to play? Okay, then. Enter the site [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and click DOWNLOAD button. You will get few options - I used direct download. If you want, there's the link:

Install it somewhere. I think you can do it by yourself. I preferr to use second partition and install it in X:\Play9D or X:\games\Play9D. But it's only my decision. X can be different letter like D, E, F ... Z. It depends on your computer. Of course you can install that in traditional C:\Program Files\Play9D or something like that. It's your way.

Honestly, I don't remember now, but try to run your client. If I remember it, your launcher won't patch by itself. But if it happens, it doesn't matter. You need to patch your game manually.

Manual patches by Play9D
It's the worst thing here, but you need to do it only once. To do it, you need about 6 GB free on your computer.

You need to patch your game first time. Enter here - [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. You have guide how to patch. There is the first patch - [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. Extract it to your folder with Play9D. Replace all the files ("Yes to All").

Copy your folder with Play9D and rename it. I'm using "Play9D - Old" here.

Now enter your Play9D folder - don't touch "OLD" version! You need to download and extract two patches: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. Direct links to the patches: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] & [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].

Hermit patch by Witek
You can still drop items from Hermit event. If you need (and want) to trade weapons from that event, you can patch the game next time. You need to copy the folder with game. Rename it - I used "Play9D - Hermit". Enter that folder and extract everything from Witek's patch - download [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. You need program called 7Zip to unzip that.

Now we have 3 copies of Play9D:
Play9D
Play9D - Old
Play9D - Hermit

Witek gives us next great thing - .XSD file with real names of items. Download it [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and extract to all versions - to folder Data/Script.

Enter your folder with Play9D and click "nd.exe" file with right mouse button. Send it to Desktop (do a shortcut). Do it for every folder you have.

Run the client, select the server and wait for the launcher. Set your resolution and PLAY!

I'm hearing your question - why do I need all of these clients? Okay, I'll tell you.

You need "Old" version to get the GC1 gifts and receive a Rice Hat.
You need "Hermit" version to receive a PS weapon for 20 event items.
You need normal version to grind.

To do that, you need few items (stackable) like medicines, or drops. Use SORT button, and replace stackable items with untradeable item. Come to Storage, select (one click) stackable item and click store. Change the value to 1, and click sort. When weapon get back to its place, click OK.

Anti-scam guide requested by Play9D - by adek1994

I heard a lot about scamming in Play9D. Few people says they are selling PP codes, refining weapons, making slots, and a lot more. There are only my hints - I'm waiting for more:

1. If you trade, make a stand. If you use "trade" you can be scammed by trade bug.
2. It's better when you buy Jade Separators from stand than $5 PP code. Why? Because JS can be bought by stand, PP codes - no.
3. I don't like selling accounts. If you really need to buy that - make sure that you will get e-mail address as well.
4. And make sure that people are trusted. Really.
5. Game Masters and staff won't ask about your account info. Don't tell anybody password!

Please for further advices, I'll add them to the list.
