[Evaluation] Response Time Exceeded - Pics included

Ok this has kept me up for hours and hours on end. I am one of those ppl that normally grasp stuff pretty easy, but when things don't flow for me I go insane trying to get it working. This is one of those things, it is driving me to insanity lol

I have done everything from

"download the bypass in andrew's post. then download 4.1.2 update files and gameguard killer 1.2a. extract the 4.1.0 files to acclaim/2moons/bin. extract files from 4.1.2 update to the crc files, overwriting any folder that it asks. launch gameguard killer with dekaron_no_crc.exe, you should no longer have invalid client if you did it correctly."

To downloading Nebulars 4.1.0 dekaron_no_crc.exe... in [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Extract to bin folder, use GG Killer to start the exe.

DO NOT MODIFY FILES IN CRC FOLDER!!

To other suggestions...

My GGK works and confirmed. I don't get the "Invalid Request. Reinstall Client". The only thing I've been getting for hours on end is the same thing over and over everytime I load the dekaron_no_crc.exe into the v1.2a GGK Launcher, regardless of configurations of my folders and files for everything and anything, is the following.

"Response Time Exceeded"

...after every time I try to log into a character at the character select screen. Altered pack.d04 file or not I am not getting into the subservers.... (ex: blade, heartrender, and lifecrusher)

I have absolutely gotten to the point of exhausten and frankly completely lost to the point of desperation >_<

I refuse to be another begger, but I am highly annoyed at my lack of understanding. Someone please evaluate the following image links and look over my confused and horrid looking bin/data/2moons folders and files etc...

What am I doing wrong? (Trust me I have taken way more organized approaches before it got this bad, lol)

All I am asking is point me in the right direction with "specific" directions. I want to understand where I went wrong.

If you feel uncomfortable with opening some img link just use a proxy to open them. Or if this forum allows it I will post direct feed images into this post.

Please, if you need to see something else I will post the screenshot of it.

I really appreciate your help, comments, whatever. Give me some hope lol.

I would guess that you have the old version of the crc bypass, not the one for version 4.1.0. The bypass for 4.1.0 can be modified to work with 4.1.2. The older version (maybe 4.0.3, not sure) cannot be made to work this 4.1.2. Any attempt to use the older version will result in "response time exceeded". According to Nebular(who made these) there are new packets in 4.1.0. So if you are using the older version of the bypass then the server is waiting for these packets that never arrive therefore you get "response time exceeded". Hope this was helpful.

Edit: I just noticed where you said you downloaded this from and yes that is the old version. It WILL NOT work with 4.1.2

I had that suspiscion which led me to making this thread... so I'm guessing this new crc bypass is not public and im SOL?

What would I have to do to get ahold of the new crc bypass? Or in a more educational way, is there someway I could just make my own with little knowledge of creating bypasses lol

Edit: actually how would i find out what packets the new version is waiting for?

Ok new post, I was able to find the 4.1.0 crc bypass. Just follow some of the stuff in my original post when you find the 4.1.0 crc bypass and it works...

Thanks for the help tho guys :]

That is probably because you made a mistake in the pack.

Possibly. I made changes to the aggro range to a few mobs Ill have to backtrack to the one I made before that worked.

I just completely deleted my 2moons folder and re-upped my backup and re-did the steps for the no_crc_bypass and it worked, the pack.d04 file is unaltered as it stands now.

Im going to try to run it again with an unaltered pack.d04 file and see if it does the same thing as before with the little window. If so then its not the pack file. Idk wth id be lol

Edit: ok it worked 3 times in a row. You were right my pack.d04 is fucked.

My original pack.d04 file and my altered are EXACTLY the same size down to the byte. So I shouldnt be missing any digits.

In the delay times should I make it 1200,1 or 120,10? Whenever I need digits I take from the delay and I always take from the 1000. I'm thinking thats what I did wrong.

That's probably the Crashreporter. That pops up usually when you have changed the filesize of the pack.
10/22/2008 20:17 karlosmatias#9
For every little change in pack that i do, i always make a script for uninstall it, for winhex. This way i know where i did something wrong.

Yesterday i tried to put wallhack in some maps and this crashreporter started to appear. So probably you're missing something, like a comma or you overwrote some important filename with a number.

It's not just related to the filesize, but it's related to the content too.
10/22/2008 21:00 geminiexp#10
@instant death in your tutorial how can you know which number is represent agro range or which represent the type of attacking (range or melee). i know u put those number in tutorial , but how can u find those in general? thx.
10/22/2008 21:40 psa1sonic#11
I got that crash report from time to time, like if I did 5 dugeon run, 1 of them will crash with crash report and I can run fine with the other 4, what can cause this?
