I would be more inclined to use something like this in a pvp based server or one where leveling was completely changed.

As conquer currently exists you would just farm stat points and reach a cap very quickly. It would have to be some sort of weighted system. For example, as your attribs get higher you have to be training on harder mobs for there to be any difference, you lose them over time/by being killed and it takes more tries to upgrade the stat further.

You can do that in the background. Have something like durability (where 100 and something points = 1 dura point), and keep track of skill points. Those skill points could be factored into attack and such - but idk... it might not work out as well as you would like it to. If you over-power it, you could get some bitchy players... and if you under power it, it wouldn't even be worth it.
